2012....

2012....

So 2012 has been an weird one. Mr P, Little Miss P and I had an ok year but everyone else around us seems to have had a bit of a messed up year.  That seems to have affected us.
1st One of my sisters having trouble with her husband seeing someone else and now on the path of divorce.
2nd We had the older Allen staying with us for a bit as he got his girlfriend with baby, so he needed to save some money. Then we had her move in with us for a bit, until they found a flat, which they did and had a very handsome little baby boy.
3rd My mum has been made redundant, and is now looking for another job.

The good things that happened in 2012
1st We went to Disneyland Paris at Christmas... we had a good time
2nd We are all still alive - sorry 12.12.12
3rd We got the loo done in the house... woohoo!

As you can see not much happened. Let's hope for a better 2013 with lots more fun and not so much drama and carrier bags.

Little Miss P's Outfit of the Week #4

Little Miss P's Outfit of the Week #4

PJ's: Primark

When it's so cold out, You want to be nice and warm in bed. That's why we got Little Miss P these cheeky monkey pjs from Primark. It's nice, warm and pink. As we always call her our little monkey this was great for her. It's a fleecy fabric so it feels like your wearing a blanket. Not sure how long it will feel like that though, but for now it's great and it was so cheap i could always just pop and get another one.

Enjoy the photos of Little Miss P doing a photo shoot with them on. x

What do you think of Little Miss P's pjs?

Winter Wonderland at Center Parcs ( Part one )

Winter Wonderland

My mum and stepdad took all the family to Center Parcs for the weekend. We normally go to Center Parcs, but we have never been at Christmas. Mr P couldn't make it as he had a show to do, so on Friday after we picked Little Miss P up from school we went. My stepdad drove us with Miss Henderson. It doesn't take long to get there, about an 1 hour and a half.

As soon as we got there we went to get the bikes, even though we didn't use them much as it was really icy! Little Miss P couldn't wait to have fun with her cousins as you can see in the photo below... she was happy & cold little girl.

On the day we got there we went to the Pancake house, it's so yummy, I love it! I have the same everytime  - a hawaiian, it's like a pizza but a lot nicer and very filling.

My stepdad had this one. I had to take a photo of this as it looks great. Not sure what it was but it had ice cream, so it had to be nice.

After that we went to see our little house for the next few days and to get ready for badminton and roller skating. Little Miss P had a go at roller skating, but we're not doing that again for the next few years as she really hurt my back by holding her up. But i think she had fun.

The holiday was a lot more hard work then it needed to be with little Mr Hill being there, as he is a nutter and just runs around all over the place, so I am glad that most food places had a children's play area. Little Miss P had a great time in them too.

Little Miss P and Mr Hill had a great time in Center Parcs together. In the villa watching the animals run past and we even had a squirral run into the villa to take some food, that I found very funny. Shame I didn't have my camera to hand to get a photo.

That night we had a little party in the villa with playing music and jumping on the bed. I even had some fun jumping on the bed and i didn't break it, woohoo!

That's it for part one as I have lots more photos, so come and join me again for part two.

Going to be a Auntie Again...

Mum and Dad to be

Yes, my lovely big sister Miss Flack is going to have a baby! She's about 12 weeks gone.
She's feeling sick, bloated and fat with bigger boobs.

She already has a daughter called Miss Henderson and she's 12 years old. It's a big gap between them, but on the plus side of having a big age gap is that Miss Henderson can babysit for them when she's a bit older!

Everyone's so excited, as she had an ectopic about 6 years ago and has been very worried that it might happen again. But after the scan she's a lot happier as the baby is doing fine & growing good.

They have names already. If it's a boy it'll be called Harry and Jessica for a girl. It's due on the 9th June.
I think she's going to have girl, but she thinks it's going to be a boy... we'll have to wait and see.

I will keep you updated and let you know the sex when i do.

Spent a bit too much money

I spent way too much money the other day in Clintons on lots of little things and things that i didn't really need. But it was 20% off and as the hubby works for them we got another 40% off, so we got everything half price.

The first thing i picked up was this cute Tinkerbell on a flower... it's a part of the Disney Traditions range, she's soo cute I just had to have her!

Next up was another Disney Tradition but this time it's Pinocchio. He stays in our front room, and when people come over he's a talking point... everyone loves him.

And I couldn't miss the Yankee Candles, I love my candles and I only get Yankees when their on offer as it's a lot of money otherwise, so I stock up a bit. My favourite one is Vanilla Cupcake. Might have to get another one to put away.

I also got other things like xmas wrap and xmas cards, and a gift for Mr P's mum and dad.

Even though we spent a lot of money, we got money off and I will use them. Some of the candles will go in a cupboard for when I run out of the other ones and some I will use now.

What has everyone else bought this week?

Is on the ball this Christmas

CHRISTMAS

This Christmas I am on the ball. I have already written out my Christams cards, now waiting to post and hand them out from the 1st December.
Have half of the pressies already, all wrapped and waiting to be given out
and still have some for next year... woohoo!

Cute Xmas cards from Clintons

Got the first of the family meet ups on the 22nd December with my family.  Then off on a little hoilday, just the three of us... oh yes, I can't wait, then off to Mr P's family do on the 29th.  It's going to be so fun.

This is just a quick update and not really sure what else to write about at the moment.
Just need to find some things to keep blogging up. I am sure I will.

My 99p store buys

I don't really go into 99p stores, not because i am posh or i will never been seen in them, it's just always so busy and I hate busy shops. I just hate being hot, people pushing me out the way to get things, running over my foot with a shopping trolley. I just don't see the fun in it.

But my lovely sister, Miss Henderson, made me go in there, and it wasn't too bad. It was very busy still, but i got some great bargains...

 M & M CANDLES SMELL SO GOOD

Disney tin with cookies in for my little nieces and nephews

Christmas paint set thing for Little Miss P

Don't they all look so cute and fun - you could spend so much money in there, but as i was getting the bus i only had a bag full.
Might go back and get some more candles just to put away for when i need them and at 99p why wouldn't you!

What bargains have you picked up recently?
Let me know :-)

Little Miss P has a big girl's bed

Little Miss P is now a big girl in her big girl's bed. She was getting way too long for her cotbed so we had to give in and get her a new one. Lucky for us, one of Mr P's friends from work had a bed at her mum's house that she needed to get rid of so her parents had that room back for them. And now that her daughter is 18 i don't think she needs a bed like this! So she asked us and we said yes please. She didn't want any money for it but we are giving going to give her £50 for it. It has saved us so much money getting a second hand one and it does just as well as a brand new one.

We still need to get one thing for it and that's a mattress. For now she's using her one from her cotbed until her new one comes (we still need to order it).

To make it more of a princess bed like she asked for, we have put a cute thing on it and Little Miss loves it - it's great as it's from Ikea, so it was cheap as well. We had to pop to Tesco to pick up new duvet, duvet cover, pillow cases, fitted sheets, and that came to less then we expected as it was 20% off homeware that weekend and we didn't know about until we got to the till and paid, so we had even more bargains! :-)

Little Miss P's Outfit of the Week #3

Little Miss P's
Outfit of the Week #3

A cozy winter outfit for playing indoors or going for a walk in the forest, she wore this at my nanna's house.

This cute little pink jumper is nice and thick from Next. I got it last year in the sale
for about £6.99 and the cute jogging bottoms came from Tesco, where I got a pack of three for about £12.00.

Let us know what you think?

Weekend seeing the family

Last weekend we went up to Peterborough to see some of the family.

But it wasn't the morning i was expecting, with Little Miss P drawing on the wall in front room, then Mr P cutting his hand on some glass... and it was only 9.30am.

But the day did get better, that i am very glad about.

We went up on Saturday at about 11.00am. First we went to the Woolfall's house
for a bit of lunch and so that Little Miss P could play with her cousins or her 'friends' as she calls me.
Mrs Woolfall showed me how to make short bread, because every time i try it falls apart or burns.

Also i have asked her to teach me how to crochet, as it is on my list of things to do. That didn't go too well as i found it really hard. She did say it takes time to learn it, so when little Miss P is back at school i have to get practicing it. We had a little lunch with them and then met up the in-laws for a nice big dinner. I had a yummy BBQ chicken with chips and corn on the cob, very yummy it was. That night we stayed at the in-laws' house, so we could go and see my Nanna on Sunday as she only lives about 30mins away. It was great the way we played it, as we didn't feel rushed to see everyone.

Silly Mummy

My lovely mummy has been going to the gym and slimming world and has lost so much weight... she's doing so well!
But the other day she was at the gym doing her normal aqua aerobics, when 'pop!' went a ligament in her calf as she tore it.
She's been wobbling around on it for the last few days and hasn't been able to go into work as it hurts her too much.
One thing about my mummy is when you tell her to take it easy she doesn't listen and always wants to do things even if it's cleaning the kitchen! She never stops, but doing this to her calf she has to listen to what the doctor said and rest her leg. That means no cleaning the kitchen - it means watch boring daytime telly!

Get better soon mummy and hope your leg starts to feel better.

Marble Run Fun

Marble Run Fun

Little Miss P got a marble run game as her birthday gift from Nanna and Grandad Parker.
I did try and put it together with Little Miss P first but she kept getting in the way so I stopped and we waited until the weekend for Mr P to help us. It was definately a daddy job this one - it didn't take him that long to put it together, even with Little Miss P in the way all the time.
It was a great father and daughter moment, just half an hour of the two of them playing with it.
Little Miss P loves it, and so does Mr P... not sure hows loves it more!

The sad thing about it that it takes a bit of room, so after half an hour of playing it we have to take it apart again and put it all back in the box!

Yes, we took a video of it

Little Miss P showing it off

It's a lot of fun

Why i stared this blog.

I started this blog to get my feelings down and put what i was thinking. I had a lot going in in my head and didn't really know how cope that well at being a new mum. It's weird when you bring a new born baby home for the first time - everyone is running around you and the new born doing everything they can to help. Then it's like people get bored and it's just you and the baby on your own. My hubby was around but he had to go to work and get the money in - for me it was just all about the my daughter. Looking back now it felt like i lost a bit of me. I didn't really know who I was any more. I was always planning to go back to work part time after the birth of Little Miss P, but that didn't happen due to Woolworths going under.

I am still trying to find myself a bit and get back into the job market. I think when you have a baby people need to tell you what's its like with the up and the downs.

I still love doing my blog and reading other people's blogs :-)

School prom (Shoes)

These little ladies are the oldest shoes I have. I got them when i was 16 years old for my school prom in year 11, when i was a pretty size 8 looking very slim. The only thing I had to worry about was what I looked like  and whether I was going to dance with any cute guys (even though they where not many cute guys in my year - that's something to talk about on another post!). I have always loved butterflies so these were the perfect shoes to go with my black dress, even though i think they are bees on them, but in the dark i could say their butterflies.

I got them from Oasis for about £25 i think and at the time i thought that was a lot of money for shoes (I sound old when i say that!). I think my nanna bought them for me, but I'm not sure tho. I still love them to this day, I just don't wear them that much anymore.

Here are some photos of them...
