Yearly look over

2016 is over and I will miss it. 2016 has been a good year, it started off as every year does at home watching Big Ben on the telly with a glass of wine then off to bed. But this year I went to bed knowing that in 2016 I would be going on an adventure to Canada and Disney World, which I was very excited about, as I got to start planning it. Disney and Canada was the highlight of the year as a family. We loved it and all had a really good time.

This year we have also been on lots of other little adventures to Devon, Chessington and Kessingland... yep this year I have been a lucky girly really. Another thing is that I have been in my job for a year, which I am enjoying and it is still only 1.45 hours a day but now I am doing an extra 30 mins on some days, just putting the school play things out. It's all extra money in the account for things (like another disney holiday hehe).

Little Miss P has become a lot more grown up in the things she is coming out with and some of the things she is doing. It's very cute but also a little scary at the some time, but she's being so good at the moment.

Another this is that we have paid some extra off our mortgage and Mr P is still in his job and is still doing his Music. Not much else has gone on really but I think we have had a good 2016.

Crap Week

I didnt know what photo to up but this photo makes me smile

Last week was going OK, well at the beginning of the week it was but throughout the week it seemed to get worse. I think it must've just been my week of being crap. But this week that's all going to change.

Don't get me wrong I haven't got a bad life to begin with. My life is pretty decent, I only work two hours in a day and the rest of the time I get to spend at home with my daughter. But sometimes it does get a bit mundane. And it was bad things that happened last week but kind of stupid things looking back. And they were other people putting me in a bad mood. And I shouldn't let other people control my mood.

This week I am starting to do you weekly vlogs on my YouTube channel, I'm not entirely sure how that's going to go as my week is pretty much the same every week but as it's Christmas time I thought it might be slightly different and I fancy a slight challenge. And I've also bought a book called The Magic. I was watching Emma Manford's YouTube channel and she mentioned this book. So I thought I'll give it a go as I want to try and see the positive in everything as I usually see lots of negatives.

I'll keep you updated on the week and let's all hope it will be a better week than last week.

Top Five DVDs We Have

This is going to be hard for me as I like so many films at the moment, I like all type of films other the horror films they just creap me out. But all other types I love. Some of them may even be aimed at Kids.

Elf
Yes I know it's a Christmas film but I could watch this film all year round, it's funny and it puts me in a good mood if I am in a bad one. I love that Elf always has a happy smile on his face, and that he loves singing loud and proud for all to hear (yes I am quoting the film to you). We all sit and watch this film as a family. I love this and will love this still when I am sitting in my wheelchair with my grandkids.

The Secret Life of Walter Mitty
This is one of the newest DVDs we have at the moment, we picked this up cheap from somewhere as it had Ben Stiller and I like him as an actor. The film follows Mitty who is a day dreamer, and he stops daydreaming and creates his own destiny by trying to find a photographer that sent him a proof of a photo for the magazine he works for, and that's when the adventure starts.

The Devil Wears Prada
If you haven't heard of this film yet where have you been, it's the film that put Anne Hathaway in the spotlight. It's about Andy Sachs (Hathaway) who lands a job a million girls would dream of, but for Andy she just wants a job, she doesn't have any fashion sense. Her boss is the devil in disguise, until she gets help from someone. I love this film, this is a right girly film to sit in your PJs with a glass or wine and some popcorn.

Toy Story
Yes I am a big kid at heart and this film is great, everyone when they were younger thought their toys were alive or wished they were, so this film brought out the kid in me. It's about when a nice new space ranger toy Buzz Lightyear comes and everyone wants to be his friend, but Woody starts to feel left out. So they don't get along but have to find away to anyway.

Tangled
This is my favourite Disney Princess movie, I love this film as she is just so fun and always looking on the brighter side of life. This is about a little girl who got taken from her parents, who are the King and Queen by a mean old lady who wanted the princess for herself, because she had magic hair that kept the lady young.

2016 Goals - Did I keep to them?

First up did I complete my 2016 Goals? Well that would be a no as I did not really look at the them throughout the year until I have started this blog post.

The first one was - Keep up-to-date with my blog post and YouTube channel. It seems easy but it's really not. I couldn't keep it up last year (2015) so this year I hope I can.
Well this year I couldn't do it again as I have missed a few weeks here and there.

By the end of 2016 I would love to earn £1,000 a month, not sure how that's going to happen at the moment but it's an aspiration.
OK I have got up to £755 so I didn't make the £1,000 but I got closer than I thought I would, which I am happy about.

Get up the website that I have been thinking about for the past two years and just haven't done anything about. This will be a little family project.

Nope this one didn't get done but plans have kind of changed. I would still love to do this but I just think it won't be for a few years.

Carry on having a happy little family and spending time with each other.
This one I have done. This year we have had so much fun as a family, we have been to so many different places and had lots of fun. I really  wish this would still happen in 2017.

In 2016 it seems like I didn't keep to the things that I wanted to do but I have had a good year and it's been fun so that is what counts. I think I have had made progress in my life and with where I want to end up.

Things to be grateful for

I used to do a 'dear so & so' but that was talking about the bad things that went on in my life and only small things like the my iPhone charger braking. But I have changed it now to things that I am grateful for.

My Hubby - OK I know that this one is a bit soppy but I am thankful for him. He does so much for us like work all the time for us, working his 9-5 job then going out and doing some music things. Also he does lots of other things for us at home.

My House - Yes I am saying thanks to my house. It's been horrible weather at the moment and I am grateful for my house keeping my family warm and cosy in this weather.

My Laptop - I love my little laptop but he is on his last legs and I am not sure if he will last for too much longer. So I am thankful for all the time I have spent on it. He has been good to me.

Myself - Yes I know this sounds a bit big headed but I am thankful for myself. I have started to do more that I have wanted to do for myself and that feels good. I still put my Daughter and Husband first though. But I am getting there with putting myself first sometimes.

Business #3

1st October - Things have been really slow it seems to be taking a lot longer to get my orders from China over at the moment. So that means I am not getting as much up on eBay at the moment as I would like but I did get one sale and that was for some fabric, it only sold for £1 but that's still OK.

4th October - Late last night a sale of the rest of the Tsum Tsum fabric sold so now I have no fabric for sale, so I am hoping that the orders will be here soon.

6th October - Got my fabric delivery, which I have put on right away, let's see how long this takes to sell

22nd October - It has been so slow this month that it's a little off putting but I am going to sit tight. I have ordered some more fabric so that will come in the next 3 weeks. I hope that will get things moving as I will have more things to sell.

23rd October - I had an order in which was a lovely Disney Castle fabric, which I love myself and have kept some back for me. Might get some more of this fabric on the next order I do.

25th October - Two orders in two hours and it was only an hour between them. It was two different bits of Chip fabric, one of the sizes was bigger than the other but still a great sale and things have slowly started to pick up, which I like.

29th October - The last of the Chip fabric has gone to one of the same people that bought it before, but I don't mind.

4th November- I have sold my first bit of Ribbon, it was the Christmas Disney Ribbon it is lovely ribbon and I wouldn't have minded keeping it so I may have to get some more on my next order for next year.

6th November - I have sold a little wooden sign that I have never used and never will do
so I put it on for £2 plus delivery and to my surprise it sold.

9th November - I put another bit of fabric that I was going to keep myself but I haven't used it yet and should be getting more in the post soon, so I thought I would put it up and it sold within 3 hours.

12th November - I have some fabric in woohoo and have most of it on eBay already.

15th November - I have sold my first bit of Peter Rabbit fabric but I am surprised that the Chip fabric hasn't sold yet as that went really fast last time.

18th November - So sold some more of the lovely Peter Rabbit fabric which is nice and makes me think I have made the right choice. Also I got another lot of fabric, it's a new Beauty and the Beast one and a My Little Pony one. I will be putting them up for sale next week.

That's it for this business round up. Hope you enjoy these little updates.

Christmas Adverts Argos/Harrods

I do this type of blog post every year and I normally just talk about the John Lewis advert, but this year I thought about quite a few of them so this blog post is Argos versus Harrods.

Here is the Argos Advert

Argos
Furry big monsters are kind of ugly but kids will love them and they do stand out. My daughter especially likes the orange one. The advert gets the point showing you the products and saying that you can get next day delivery and order and get it in the shop within 60 seconds. And I think that is actually really good especially if you're out and about already. I wouldn't say I really like the advert much but I wouldn't say that I didn't like it, it was just a normal advert for me. Not much stood out.

Here is the Harrods Advert

Harrods
This is quite nice and I quite like the idea of the oh so courageous teddy bear getting help from Santa and a very cheeky little elf causing lots of mischief. It's an idea that probably a kid with came up with so I'm guessing kids relate to this. It didn't show much of their products in the advert though but as it is Harrods I don't think they need to. You're going to have to spend a lot of money or if you want you can just look around when you go to Harrods. I hope they sell Courageous Teddy Bear this Christmas.

Sorting the Christmas List

Yep, it's that time of year where we sit down to look through all the catalogues, like Toys R Us, Argos, Boots etc. We have them out all over the front room and we can spend hours going through them all. She can write whatever she likes at this point, she can write things that cost £100ish or things that cost just £1. Then I will go through it with her and we take some things off. Maybe it's too much money or I just don't think she will get her money's worth from it. Or it's just a silly thing that will break, get lost, too young for her or even too old for her. I don't buy anything for her that has a gun or knife in or any DVDs that are not for her age. Some people might think I take it too far but I don't want my daughter watching horror movies at the age of 8.

So she has now got it down to 8 things that she really wants and of course I will add a few little extra things onto it.

I hope to get her most things on list but adding it all up it will cost around £100 and more.
I will give you an update on what I buy her.

Telly watching of the moment

I have done a few of these types of blog post before and I enjoy writing them. So I thought I would do another one...

NCIS - Any type of NCIS I love it... The original one where it is just called NCIS, the New Orleans series and LA, the most recent one. I love it because it's got so much action in it as well as the autopsies and working out who murdered who, how the person has been murdered and is it all that it seems. My favourite character out of all of NCIS is Leroy Gibbs.

Humans - This is in its second series on Channel 4, it's about robots that have a conscience. They can think, they can feel, love, feel pain and have all the human emotions. I really enjoy watching this as I find it kind of interesting but it's also the sort of program that you can watch while doing other things in the house. You don't really need to concentrate on it.

Great British Bake Off - This was on the BBC and everyone knows what the Great British Bake Off is. It's about a bunch of people in the competition to win the Great British Bake Off prize. My favourite part of this is watching them make the showstopper cakes at the end, they are fantastic and I don't think I can do anything like that myself. I'm a little bit upset that is going to Channel 4 and Mary Berry won't be in it anymore. I don't think it will be the same.

The Missing - This is also on the BBC and is about a child getting abducted by someone and then coming back a few years later. It's interessting trying to fit all the pieces together to work out where she's been, who has taken her, and trying to find out if the girl that was taken was the right girl. But of course it's not all as it seems, they actually think the girl is not the daughter and it can get very confusing as we try and work it out... who took her in the first place? You really need to concentrate when you watch this program but it's worth the effort.

Our few days away

We've had a lovely few days away, we went to stay in Mr P's Uncle's chalet, it's only two hours up the A12 in Kessingland. If you don't know where that is it's near Great Yarmouth. It's only a small place but we love it there, you can also see the sea out of the kitchen window. We only went for three days and it was just for us to get away. We have all had a busy month.

The first day we got there we just emptied our bags and chilled out. Little Miss P and Mr P had a little walk to the beach and played in the sea, she came back absolutely soaked of course. But they had fun and that's what counts. The first night we watched the film Brother Bear 2 and we decided to get the sofa bed out and make it really cosy. But then Little Miss P decided she wanted to sleep on it for the three nights we were there.

The first full day we went into Wroxham and met up with Mr P's mum and dad, going on a lovely 2 hour boat ride. We did get a little McDs beforehand to keep us warm. I love the little boats mainly because you get to see some lovely houses on the way past. After that we popped back in the car to go for a nice pub lunch in Ranworth where the food is absolutely fantastic. Then we said bye to Mr P's mum and dad and had a few hours to ourselves walking around a lovely conservation area with a cup of tea. When you come to the end of the walk you come across a floating house that you can go in and watch the birds on the lake and look in the gift shop.

The next day we went into Lowestoft to go to the movies and watch Trolls. That was a great film, it was so funny. I have to say my favourite one was the one covered in glitter and he even pooped glitter. We also did a little bit of shopping for a few things and spent the afternoon back by the beach playing in the water to chill out and then watched our next film.

The rest of the time we just chilled out. I had a lovely time and can't wait to go back next year.

Chessington World of Adventures fun

A few weekends ago now we booked a weekend away at Chessington World of Adventures. It was a spur of the moment idea, but I think those ideas work the best. We booked to stay one night in the Safari Hotel over looking at the animals. We have stayed in that hotel before so we know what the rooms are like.

We didn't tell Little Miss P until the Friday night when we had our bags packed, she was so excited.  So Saturday morning we jumped in the car and off we went, we did stop off to have a Premier Inn breakfast too as for the price of the breakfast you can eat as much as you want. It was a great way to start the day.

We parked up at that hotel and walked straight to the park, no queues to get in so that was fantastic.
And most of the rides only had about 10 to 15 minute waits. The height of Little Miss P means she can go on all the rides now but she didn't want to go on some, I don't blame her especially Rameses Revenge. I don't even like that ride. Her favourite ride was Scorpion Express, it's like a runaway mine train and over the two days I think we must have gone on it about seven times. She did try a few rides that she wasn't keen on and didn't want to go on them again afterwards. But I'm proud of her for giving them a go. We now know that she likes spinning rides and not up and down rides, well big drops anyway.
There was a ride where you go on a little safari, cleverly called Zafari. You get in a truck type thing and it takes you round to see the animals, I absolutely love that ride and it was one of my favourite ones, you could also see our hotel from it. This ride had the biggest queue though.

After a full day at the park we went back to our hotel. We went into our room and chilled out, watching a bit of telly then looked out the window at all the animals. We got an early night's sleep after popping to the bar for a drink as it was another full day in the park the next day. We got up for breakfast and it was an all you can eat breakfast again. And as we were staying in the hotel we could get into the park half an hour early to go on some of the rides. So we made the most of that.

It was another fun, full day and we also had a voucher for a pizza or pasta self-service restaurant. And I have to say the food was quite nice. We left the park when it shut and got on the road home but absolutely loved our little time away and would definitely go back there and stay in the hotel (and of course enjoy the theme park) all over again.

Business #2

19th August - 19th September

21st August
So I have got some of the Fabric that I have been waiting for for a while. One bit of I got on the 20th August, I always get two lots, one to sell on and one for me to practice my sewing on. I got the Chip and Mrs Pots fabric & Dumbo fabric.
So I put them on eBay then went out for the day and by the time I came back it had already sold, well the Chip and Mrs Pots one has, so I will need to get some more of that Fabric.

24th August

I sold some more Chip and Mrs Pots fabric and a set of Avon Trendy toes that I got for myself but have never used. I over-estimated the postage on some of them so I hope I don't get bad feedback. I have been looking at a few wholesalers that I would like for the website and I have found about five that I really like the look of.

6th September
Got some lovely new fabric in the post that I will be putting on eBay soon. I have also sold some lovely Dumbo Fabric that is very cute.

11th September
It's been an good weekend for sales, I have sold two lots of Tsum Tsum fabric and I have finally sold the Love Dance Resin. Not sure if I will get any more of the Love Dance Resin. I think I might see what other Resin they have.

16th September
I keep having Shipping Centre try and buy some things off me but I have read so many bad reviews on them so I have to keep emailing them and saying that I will not sell to them,  And it's a certain bit of fabric all the time. I have sold some Nail Gems that I haven't used, only for £1 but it's better than them sitting around the house.

19th September
So it has seemed to slow down as I haven't really had many sales in the last few days and I am still waiting for a few fabric deliveries.

Hello Autumn

Autumn is here and I have to say it's one one my best times of year where you can wear your nice cosy PJs, have the candles on and sit under a blanket with the hubby and Little Miss P watching a film together. And I can't forget the hot coco.

It also means that it's nearly Christmas so that I means I can start Christmas shopping. I have already started but it's the time of year where the shops are getting their Christmas decorations and Christmas gifts in. I really love the decorations in the Disney Store but that's because I love everything Disney (I am a big kid at heart). I have seen people do an Autumn bucket list and I love the idea of that. I would like to work on it with Little Miss P and have a joint one with her, or a family one. That would be great.

The only thing I don't like about Autumn is that the nights get dark very quick and soon we will be walking home from dancing in the dark and I am not a great fan of that.

The only few things that I will miss about the summertime is spending so much time with Little Miss P and the ice cream.

Come back soon as I will be doing my Autumn Bucket list.

That time again, dance competitions

Oh the joy of dance competitions again, where we spend a small fortune on her 20 minute slots to get them down. Not to mention the cost of some of the dance outfits. And when she does the dance practice she does not look happy, she looks like she's having the worst time but I think that's just her concentrating. I am still not sure if she likes it but I know she likes dancing when she's in her class. I think it may be a different matter for the competitions. I have asked her so many times if she wants to do them and she always says yes.

Next year she has said that she wants to do less, so I think next time she will do just one dance solo, one song and the group dance. From a purely selfish it takes up so much time in October as it's every weekend all the way in Canvey Island, which is not close, it's about 45 mins away. So it is a whole day when she has them on.

As I write this I am sitting in one of her rehearsals and some of the bigger girls (I mean older girlies) are brilliant. I am watching two of the older girls and they are so in time and a little funny to watch really... not in a bad way, in a really good way. The girls are so nice as well so I hope they get in the top 3. I want to say that about Little Miss P but her sections are so big with about 20 different girls in them so I don't think she will get in the top 3. But who knows, she might surprise me. I would love her to as it would build her confidence. We will have to wait and see.

Back into a Routine

It's that time where we have to get back into a routine, with Little Miss P going back to school, me going back to work and dancing lessons back on for the little lady. I think I need to get into a better routine though and start to write my day-to-day list.

I really need to start my routine in a different way so I have been looking up what people do and watching people's YouTube videos. I have found a few that have inspired me and a lot of the ones I like are all to do with self help. OK I know what some of you are thinking, and I know what some of my family may be thinking if they read this, she has gone a little mad, but I will explore this and see where it can take me. I'm going to look into this in more detail.

I have set up a little sheet for Little Miss P and what we are planning to do on each day of the week. Little things like reading her school book and when dancing lessons are. I think she is better at visualising things so I hope that this will help her out and it also helps me out and keeps me on track with what's going on.

Let's see how quickly I can back into a routine. This all starts on the 12th September.

The difference between boys and girls

At the moment I am staying at my sister's house and she has two boys, one of which is six and one of which is two, and of course my little lady who is now eight. They are very different I think boys and girls... well at this younger age they are.

Little Miss P is calm and is happy on her own, normally doing what I ask of her. She might need to be asked a few times though. But the boys are in a league of their own. Don't get me wrong they are lovely and I can get some great hugs from them, but wow they are hard work. They like to push each other over and you have to tell them about 10 times, but they still don't listen.

Also the boys have no fear of going head first in the pool and just running into things. I asked my sister what she thinks is the main difference and she said that it's that they just don't stop, they go all day whereas Little Miss P will have a little bit of chill out time now and then.

Hope you all had a lovely day. And let me know what you think?

Starting the Fun - Business #1

If you are reading this blog post and haven't read what I've always wanted then go and check that one out first as you might understand more.

So I have been thinking about things to sell on eBay and I have made a bit of money, not much only about £10. I have bought some fabric with that money that I have then sold on and that seems to be working so far, so I have bought some more. At the moment I am -£0.13 but that's due to me waiting for some fabric to come in the post to sell on. I missed the delivery so it's now waiting for me to pick it up at the post office.

I have found a website for creating online shops for free called freewebstore that my sister-in-law uses for her website Little Dolly Clothes Shop. She seems to be doing well with it and she's great at sewing, so that is perfect for her.

I don't want to make loads and loads of money (well it would be nice but not a need), it's just to live a happy and comfortable life where the hubby and I can take the summer holidays off and go travelling as a family... that would be great (even if it's just a dream at the moment).

I will let you know how the next month goes in the next business blog.

I Have Done It

I can't believe I have done it, I have blogged every single day in August. I find that a little bit crazy really. But I have to say I don't think I'll be doing that again. Towards the end I was finding it really hard to think what to write about so some of the blog posts at the end may have been a little bit weird.

feel like my blog may need to take a different direction just a little a bit and be a bit more creative.  I would like to get at least two weeks ahead on my blogs and have a few for when I really can't think of anything (does anyone do that?).

I think I have said before that I would like to do some more fashion type blogs and some home style blogs. So once Little Miss P is back at school I want to start working on my Christmas blogs and January 2017 blogs... I think that would give me a great to start to the year.

I also want to do this with my YouTube. I haven't done anything for the past month with YouTube, I just wanted to spend time with Little Miss P and work out where I would like YouTube to go. I have been watching a few channels to see what I like watching myself and what I would like to watch myself. I have written a little list about what sort of things I would like to do, but that will be in a different blog post.

I will be holding a giveaway soon once I have worked out how to do it, lol. Hoping to do that at the end of September.

Things I have been loving - August

August is a great time of year for me as it's mine and Little Miss P's birthdays so I have quite a few favourites this month. Well more than four anyway.

1) First up is my new baby, my pink sewing machine - I haven't been playing with it as much as I would like but once Little Miss P is back at school I will be on it most days.

2) Pop Tarts - I got loads of Pop Tarts for my birthday, I mainly got chocolate but also got cookie and cream ones. They are all lovely and I only get Pop Tarts as a special treat as if I eat lots of them I will probably get to the size of a house.

3) Playdoh - I know this is a bit of a weird one but Little Miss P got some for her birthday and I have been playing it with her and I find it a lot fun, I find it quite therapeutic. I kind of just go into another world. We made a funfair scene and other ones too.

4) My Disney Primark Pumps - They are a lovely grey and  have Mickey Mouse heads all over them and they are so cute and really comfortable. I have worn them most of August as they go with most of my outfits. And I love Disney things.

5) Note Pads - I love writing things down as it keeps me on track with what I need to do on a day-to-day basis. It just helps me keep track on life and the things that I am working towards.

So there you go, my five things that I am loving at the moment.

I only have four more days then I have done what I set out to do. I am finding it hard though as I don't really know what to write and I still don't as I sit here at 10.10pm. I am hoping that something comes to me, but I am guessing not, so will just say what's happened today.

This morning was just a chilled out morning at home. Mr P had a gig to go to at 11am and that was really about it until 12.30 when my sister picked me up with her boys and off we went to Owl's House. The kids all had a play while us mums had a cup of tea, well I had juice as it was very hot in that place. We didn't leave there until 4.30pm so all the of the kids were really tired.

But Little Miss P and I only had half an hour at home until we went back out to a BBQ to one of the ladies' that I work with. Little Miss P had lots of fun with all the kids and even sang a few songs. I nearly had a whole bottle of wine to myself so I am not sure how much of this will make sense, lol. I had a lovely time.

I better get to bed now as I feel like I need my sleep now. Goodnight :-)

Chores for my Daughter

I remember when I was younger I had chores to do with my two other sisters and brother. It may have been only helping with the washing up and putting my clothes away. But I had to do them to get any treats.

I was talking to a few mum friends of mine and asked them if they have any chores for their children. All of them said no. I was a little taken back by this as for one they are 8 now and two I do for Little Miss P.  I was thinking am I asking her to do too much or am I just getting her ready for life.

So I thought I would put down what her chores are and just see.

1) She can put a load of washing on so that means putting the clothes in then putting the tablets and fabric softener in and turn it on.

2) She puts her own clothes away. Once I have folded them up or put them on a hanger she has to get them and put them away or I put them on her bed and off she goes.

3) The last thing is that she helps me take the recycling out to the recycling bins.

It's not a bad start, I think it's good and it is getting her ready for life.

Sunday Dinner

I am a part of a group called Tesco Orchard where I get vouchers in the post to review items and to try them out, leaving comments about them. I don't have to do any blog posts for them and I don't normally do it, but I thought I would as the other half made a lovely meal with it. Well he did with the Gammon.

He made us a lovely roast dinner by cooking the the gammon in coke for a few hours and it makes it really nice & sticky on the outside and a nice texture inside. We had it with parsnip, broccoli & aubergine and it was so lovely.

We all sat at the dinner time on a lovely Sunday afternoon with the doors open and the sun shining. We don't normally get to do that so it was lovely to have some family time on a lovely day.

Bathroom Cabinet - Summer 2016

I don't normally do these types of blog post, but as I'm doing one everyday in August I need to step a little out of my comfort zone. I thought I'd show you a few things in my bathroom cabinet that I use everyday or at least once a week. I am not a big make up person so there will be no make up in this, but a few skincare products.

First up are these two products that I got to review and I absolutely love them and will be buying again.
It's Garnier Skin Active Night Time Moisture Bomb & Garnier Skin Active Day Moisture Bomb.
The night time one is a lovely and thick super-recharging antioxidants gel cream. It just makes my face feel like it's cooling down and working with my skin. I wake up in the morning and it feels so soft. The day time one is less thick, it's still nice and also has SPF 10 on it for when you're out and about.

The next two are Simple products, kind to skin moisturising facial wash. I have used this about twice and am still loving it. It has vitamins B5 and vitamin E in. I am thinking of changing this one soon, and trying something a little different. Maybe from the Yes To range. The next Simple is smoothing facial scrub, this is nice to the skin and works and is also cheap.

The last thing is this Avon Planet spa peel off face mask. I have only used this twice and both times it's been OK, it's not the best I have had as when you peel it off it peels off in small bits not one big bit and that kind of annoys me a bit. But it seems fine on my skin and it's a good price too. Will I buy it again, probably not but I will use it as I hate wasting things.

I hope you like the little look in my bathroom cabinet.

Cute fabric

As I have said before I got a gorgeous little sewing machine for my birthday this year. I haven't done any sewing since I was about 16 so I have been looking around to buy some cheap fabric and I have sound some cute ones.

I have found two cute ones. First up is Dumbo, I loved this film when I was younger and it made me a lover of elephants. While this film is great it is very sad at the same time but if it wasn't it wouldn't be a Disney film would it. I love how Dumbo had really big ears, way too big for his body. And when I saw this Dumbo fabric I had to buy it and it was so cheap... really cheap. I found it on eBay and when I got it I was so happy with it.

The other fabric is this Chip and Mrs Pots design from Beauty and the Beast. Chip has to be one of my favourite characters from this film, he is the cute one in the film and I will always remember when he said 'Mama do I still have to sleep in the cupboard' after he turns into a real boy, I love that bit of the film. Also it's being released as a live action film next year so it's at the front of every Disney mad person's mind at the moment. I saw this bit of fabric and I just had to get it. Chip looks adorable in it and the colour of the fabric shouts of Belle's dress, the lovely yellow.

I think I will make hair scrunchies from the fabric as that's what I know how to make at the moment. I will have to show you a picture once I am done making them, it will be once Little Miss P is back at school though.

Without Little Miss P

If you read the blog post before this you will know that Little Miss P spent the night at my mum's house and she is spending all day with her on Saturday. It's been the first day in ages that Mr P and I would have had a whole day without Little Miss P.

We woke up at about 8am then spent most of, if not all the morning in bed. Mr P was on the laptop doing banking things and looking for new Home Insurance. I was just browsing the internet checking my eBay as I have a few things for sale at the moment, and also putting a few things for sale on there too.

That day we got asked if we wanted to pop along to my friend's BBQ, she only lives in Collier Row so it's only about a 15 min journey from my house by car. We popped along for about three hours until we had to go and get Little Miss P from my mum's house. It was nice chilling out and just talking to people without worrying if Little Miss P was bored or what she was up to. I did feel a little bit lost without her next to me though, I have to admit.

It would be nice to spend some more time with just the hubby though, as it was nice just being us again and not mummy and daddy for a bit.

Date Night

The other night Little Miss P stayed at my mum's house (her nanny's house) so they can spend some nice time together with just the two of them, as when she's normally there there is always one of the other grandkids. But this time it was just those two.

So that night Mr P suggested that we should go for a nice meal out, just the two of us. It's been a while since we have done that. So he picked the Miller & Carter in Epping. I love Miller & Carter, it's always lovely food and has a lovely atmosphere. I had a half rack of ribs with chips and ordered a side of onion loaf as I love it from there, thinking that they would only bring one onion loaf... Over they brought three of them! It seems that is what you get when you order a side, of course I couldn't eat all of them, just way too many for me.

We did manage to share a little dessert between us, just a vanilla ice cream with a cookie in it and it was actually lovely ice cream. Also ordered myself a little hot chocolate at the end. It was nice food but did take over 2 hours from start to finish. But it was a lovely few hours, just the hubby and I.

As I got in the car I had to undo the top button of my jeans as I was feeling very fat after eating all of that food. We got home and both just sat down watching a film together.

Can't wait for next date night.

I Always Wanted

I have always wanted to do certain things in my life. This little Blog was one of them and I have wanted to do it so I did and I have stuck with it for over five years. It's a little hobby really, I don't make money from it, it's all just a bit of fun and giving myself something else to do other than being a mum.

But saying that this is the only thing I have stuck with. I have wanted to do lots of things like own my own play area but that will cost way too much money so it's too much of a risk. I wanted to have my own little shop but again it costs too much money to set up. I haven't been saving to do any of these I have just given up. I did do Avon but they kept ringing and when they got things on my order wrong I would have to keep ringing them and tell about five different people about it. It just took the piss in the end.

But I have now turned 30 and am thinking about where I am heading really, it's not a midlife crisis, well I don't think it is. Little Miss P is now older and I have a little job as a midday play leader at my daughter's school so that's a little bit of extra money coming in (about an extra £250 a month). So maybe it's about time I can try and set up something small like my own little online shop and work my way up and not quits. I think I can't do this as I don't have a brain to do this, but I need to just keep going until I make it.

So once Little miss P is back at school I will start working on it. But I will only start with selling a few things on ebay that I don't use anymore to try a get a bit of money for them.

Maybe I will do a monthly little blog on how it's going.

Old Shows

I was watching one of my old favourite shows the other day and that got me thinking about all the old shows that I missed when I was teenage, or just shows that's aren't around anymore.

The first show is The O.C. I loved this show and would make sure that I watched it every week when it was on. Maybe it was the beautiful people and seeing what living in the Orange County was like as it looked great and they lived near the beach and all had pools in their gardens. The first few Series were better than the last ones. My favourite character was Summer Roberts and I like her personality in it.

Gossip Girls, it was similar to The O.C. but this time full of beautiful people in New York City. Based on four main characters and one of them writes a blog, but it's not the person who you think it is. They talk about all the people she goes to school with, they party lots, take drugs and drink.

Now for two British TV ones my first one is Hustle. We have the DVD box set and have been watching some off these recently. It's based on a con group that play the long con on people that are greedy. It's not a serious show it's actually funny where they sometimes talk right to the camera and explain the con to you a bit more.

Next up is Hotel Baylon, I love the old cast of this and it is based on the real hotel. Someone who worked at the hotel put it in a book then it got put into a show. Some of the things that made me laugh was them hunting for a gem, one of them getting shot (OK that one was not funny but it was a good one) and the night shift one was just great.

I hope you enjoyed this blog and go and check out these shows.

Things I have been Buying

I have bought myself a few things so I thought I would show you what I got. It's only a few small things.

I really wanted a light box, I don't know why as I don't really need one but they are lovely. Then I saw this mini one that is so cute and it was only £8. You get all the letters with it and even some smiley faces and balloons that are a little cute.

Lush is a great shop that I love, I would love to buy more from them but I don't use the products enough. It's nice for all of 10 mins while you're in the bath but that's about it. Little Miss P likes this shop too and she picked herself  up a small Rainbow Fun and I picked myself up a pink flamingo bubble bar... I can't wait to use it.

I have not got anything else recently. Well I don't think I have anyway.

Etsy Review - Loulabellescrafts1

One of my friends is due to have her baby in about two weeks' time she doesn't know the sex of it as she didn't want to. So I wanted to pick her up something that I really like the look of and that was gender neutral, so it could be worn by a boy or a girl.

So I went to Etsy and typed in baby bandannas and a load came up. I saw this cute Dumbo print so clicked on it and then had a look at all the other things that louabellescrafts had for sale. Then I saw the same Dumbo print with two other bibs, a lovely grey one that I really liked as well. I had a look at the reviews she had and I bought it straightaway.

I thought it might take about 2 weeks to come as it's handmade but to my surprise it only took five days to come in the post.

The quality of the bandanna is fantastic, it is well sewn and the fabric is lovely, on the back of the bib it is nice and soft. There are no marks on it and it would fit perfectly around a baby. It even has two different poppers at the back so you can choose the size.

I can't wait to give this to her as it is so cute.
I will leave a link for you here to her Etsy page.

Tea Party

For my 30th my mum wanted to something nice for me so she threw me a nice
little tea party at her house with just the girls in my family. My nanna came down as well as my auntie and cousin. It also worked as a nice 8th birthday tea party for Little Miss P too.

My mum got some lovely cupcakes made with 30, 8 and Minnie Mouse heads on. They looked absolutely lovely and too good to eat but of course we did (when do I ever turn down cake). My mum got a lovely table cloth and napkins in the style of Cath Kidston as Little Miss P loves the style and as soon as she walked in and saw it her words were 'Oh wow, Cath Kidston'.

We had scones, cream mini sandwiches, lots of different types of cake and lots of tea. I think we could have fed a small army with the amount of food we had. I ate so much I don't think I could have put any more away. But I did get to bring a goodie bag home for Mr P.

I am very thankful to my mummy for doing it for me, so thank you mummy.

10 places I would love to visit

There are so many countries in the world that I would love to visit. But here are the top 10 for you...

1) Reykavik (Iceland)
I really want to go due to the fact that I might be able to see the northern lights, it seems like a lovely country to visit as well even if it is very cold. And I am not good in the cold. I love the idea of the log cabins and open fires with a hot chocolate in the evening and in the daytime having a husky ride and maybe a helicopter ride to look at the glaciers.

2) New York
I would love to go to New York for the shopping and to experience just walking around all the buildings. Having a horse and cart ride around Central Park would be great. And obviously having to go to the Tiffany building and maybe picking up a cute pair of new earrings.

3) Las Vegas
I'm not a gambling person, the only reason why I would love to visit Las Vegas is to just see if it's really like the movies and see what people say, see all the hotels and go to watch a few shows. This holiday would just be for the pure extravagance of it.

4)Amsterdam
This looks like a beautiful city with its canals. They say you can walk around Amsterdam and always be amazed.

5) Sorrento (Italy)
I would love to go to Italy for ice cream and pizza, but Sorrento has caught my eye being a coastal town. It's perched on top of cliffs so it must have great views from your hotel rooms. And they seem to get nice weather all year round.

6) Hawaii
Hawaii is made up of small islands in the Pacific. It is known for its rugged landscape and waterfalls with gold beaches. I can feel myself going for a week just to chill out and do absolutely nothing other than drink some cocktails sitting in the sun and maybe have a splash in the sea.

7)  Queensland (Australia)
I would love to go to the world's largest coral reef the Great Barrier Reef just for the size of it. I would love to go snorkelling there, I think it would be amazing.

8) Yellowstone (USA)
I think this would be an amazing place to go for walks and see the hot springs in the Verdant forest. It is an unspoiled natural beauty. And maybe see a bear or two.

9) Grand Canyon (USA)
I think everyone knows what the Grand Canyon is by now, how amazing would it be to get a helicopter ride to see the scale of it.

10) Quebec (Canada)
Ok I have been to Quebec for a few hours when we were driving through it. I didn't realise how pretty it was but if I have known I would have stayed there longer. It's an old city with lots of hidden gems that you will need to just go and find.

TV for the Moment

I have done a blog post like this before where I talk about the TV shows I am watching at the moment. I don't have the best TV channels like sky, but I have the standard ones.

1) Containment
This is exploring what happens when a mysterious deadly epidemic breaks out in Atlanta. I like all the main characters in this program especially the characters that are inside the cordon. At the moment they're trying to bring food to cordon but a gang take it all to sell it to people and they have just worked out it might not be what it seems.

2) 2 Broke Girls
I watch this as it's very funny. It's about one posh girl (Caroline) who loses all her money and meets up with poor girl (Max) who has never had money. She moves in with her and they try and survive day by day with lots of rude humour and quick witted comments. They take the piss out of anything.

3) Dragons' Den
I love watching this as a family, we all sit and watch this even Little Miss P. If you haven't heard of Dragons' Den before why haven't you, it's a show on BBC2 about five dragons (successful business people) wanting to invest their money in a business, but first you have to pitch your business to them.

4) Inside the Factory
This is a new show on BBC1 where they take us to look at how our food is made. It may sound boring but it is really interesting. So far I have only seen how to make crisps and half of the baked bean one. It's interesting just to see the process of it all, the machines that they use and how long it takes from start to finish. Who knew that one bag of crisps only takes four hours from the farm to the bag.
