Love my Blog

I love my little blog. I have been doing it for the past seven years and I love it, I do it as a hobby and I will always love doing it as my hobby. I love just being able to sit down and get my thoughts on paper. 

Also there are some very random blog posts that I have done in the past. I love being able to look back on the past seven years and see what I've got up to in a certain month. 

I really want to do some more crafty posts, Disney posts, maybe some posts about what I buy from Etsy and clothing. Can't really do posts about my work as I work in a school and it will be about the kids and I can't do that.

I really enjoy writing film reviews and TV show reviews so I will be doing more of them as well. I would love to be able to make more money from it, so I will slowly be trying to do that throughout the year. And if I get to do that I will be of course doing Blog posts about it to keep everyone up-to-date with how it's working out.

Under the Dome

A few months ago we got Amazon Prime and we wanted to start watching a TV series in the evenings just to chillout to. There are so many to pick from but we chose Under the Dome and I have to say it's a little bit of a mess that TV show. Don't get me wrong I actually really enjoy, it but you have to think about what's going on in it.

So far this is what I have learnt. The town called Chesters Mill has magically got a dome appear around it and they are all stuck inside. Every time they touch it they get a slight electric shock; they have tried punching it, throwing things at it, anything to get out, but nothing is working. It starts to go into each character a bit more throughout the series and of course some of the characters die, most of the time it's kind of a gruesome way. There are a few main characters and I would say Barbie is the main one with Julia, Big Jim, Norrie, Joe and Junior. It's mainly around them. I don't want to say too much as I don't want to give anything away.

So the time has come for aliens, yes aliens. I have to say I didn't think it would be an alien type of program but it is, so if you're into the alien thing it's definitely a watch for you. It is based all on an egg that produces pink falling stars and the world ending so they think that The Dome is there to protect them. But it isn't all it seems.

Not really saying much more as I've given away some of the plots already but I still have a few episodes to watch so I still don't know how it ends. I just hope Norrie, Joe and Julia survive until the end because they are my favourite characters.

Woodford Pantomime

We go to the Woodford Panto every year (well for the last five years we have anyway). It's not too far away from us and it's run just by a little drama group, but every year it is fantastic. This year they did Beauty and the Beast which is a Disney film that I absolutely love. Because it is a Panto they do change it in places so it's not exactly like the film and obviously don't have the film music in it due to copyright issues. But they did do it justice. I think it helps that this year Little Miss P's friends from her dance school were in it and they were all fantastic. They were mainly the dancers and background singers. I hope they will do it in next year because they did do great in it and it's lovely to see Little Miss P's face watching her friends in excitement.

Of course the rest of the cast were fantastic too, including my sister's friend that she works with, who is also in the play. He has been in the play for the last five years and maybe longer. This year he played one of the main characters called Felix, a pink poodle. I have to say he played the character very well and he was very funny mainly getting all the laughs. Little Miss P got to go up on stage again and she loved it, she got to go up with Master Hill (her cousin). Not to sure about next year, she might be too old to go up.

Of course I will be going again next year with Little Miss P and the rest of my family.

Film Review - We're the Millers

This film is based on a veteran pot dealer that creates a fake family as part of his plan to move a huge shipment of weed into the U.S from Mexico. It starts off with David (played by Jason Sudeikis) asking to get some weed from Mexico, but to do this he has to create a family to get through the border of Mexico and then back into the U.S without being detected. So he gets Rose (Jennifer Aniston) to play the Mum, Casey (Emma Roberts) and Kenny (Will Poulter) to play their children. They are a very mixed bunch.

This film is very funny and has a lots of comical moments. They all seem to work well together and you can see that comes across in the film. You don't have to concentrate on this film that much as you can just go back to it and still know what's going on.

I like the actress Jennifer Aniston so that made me enjoy the film more I think, as she did play Rose very well.

I would I watch this film again and I'm pretty sure I would still enjoy it.

Hilton for the Night

Over the last three years we have been going away for one night over Christmas or New Year, and they are all lovely Hilton hotels, normally in one of the suites and 2016 was no different. We went to stay in the Hilton in Syon Park London as it was the closest one to the show we were seeing, Cinderella at Chiswick House.

But first let me talk about the hotel room. This hotel room was massive, I don't think I've been in a hotel room this big before, you walk in and walk into the front room or as we called it Little Miss P's room as it had her put up bed in there. It had a massive TV, a sofa and a coffee table with plenty of room all around them. Then you go into the other room which was the bedroom, it had a massive bed in it with the TV coming out of a cabinet at the end of it. I have this on my Wish List now. But if I did have that I don't think I'll ever get out of bed. Both of the bedrooms led out to a balcony. Even though it was cold we still went out there and had a hot drink. Now for the bathroom. This was the room at that amazed me. The bath was so big that you could actually lie down in it and you could fill it up lots. Also there was a TV in the bathroom so you could sit on the toilet or sit in the bath and watch telly. That is a little crazy. Don't get me wrong I loved it. Also we had a double shower where it had a waterfall shower. I didn't actually get to use the shower as it was one night and I really wanted to use the bath.

That night we also got room service as we couldn't be asked to go downstairs to the restaurant so we got into our pyjamas and had food delivered to us on the table to our room. And that was heaven. Yes it did cost a small fortune but we only do it once a year, the big room and food delivered to us it's our little treats saying well done for having a good year.

Cinderella in Chiswick House was actually really good, it wasn't a panto it was just a show they put on and it had a magician character in it that did some tricks. It was funny and it was magical in Little Miss P's eyes. I would definitely go again. Little Miss P also got her face painted and a balloon, we got a lovely little lunch as well with a hotdog each and I got a glass of Prosecco to drink while watching it.

Let's see if 2017 is good to us, to enable us to do something like this again.

Bye 2016, Hello 2017

2016 was a year full of fun and everything happened that was meant to happen. It was a year of staying the same with a bit of a travelling adventure to it. If you haven't seen my yearly round up go and check it out here, I am sad to see 2016 go but excited to see what 2017 will bring for my family and me.

The only thing we have panned for 2017 is to keep saving money for a raining day just in case anything happens, and to find some ways to invest some money. But other then that, we have nothing planned.

I hope that 2017 brings happiness for my family and we keep learning from life. Also I hope I stick  to my little list that I made for 2017 and that you can see here. The main thing I would really like to do is pay more off the mortgage then we need to just try and get it down and pay it off quicker.

• Save for another Disney World trip. My plan is to save £4000 for this.
• Try and pay off more of our mortgage, as much as we can

Get 200 on by YouTube (at the moment at 99)

Not much on the list this year but I am going to keep it small and work hard at it.
