The Photo Gallery #184

I am so Happy

Hello Jelly Tots, this week's Photo Gallery is Happy

So one thing that sticks in my mind when you ask me what makes me happy is my family; my hubby, daughter, mum, nieces & nephews, brother and sisters, etc.

You can't choose your family so you have to find a way to get along with them even if you don't think the same as them. We are all very different people and that's part of the fun. If I could choose them as my mates I wouldn't, well some of them anyway (sorry family). But saying that I couldn't live without them and knowing that they are all happy makes me happy.

The photo above is Little Miss P, Mummy and My Nephew Master Hill.

19th April 2014....

On Saturday we picked up my Nanna from my mum's house as we were heading up to Peterborough to see Mr P's family and she only lives 25 mins from them.

We dropped her back home first then went to Mr P's sister's house for the day where she made us a late lunch; just pizza and little bits like that but it was very yummy. She also put on a little Easter Egg Hunt for the kids - Little Miss P and her two children, Master Woolfall & Teenage Woolfall. They all enjoyed it and had lots of fun.

After that Little Miss P wanted to get the Lego out and she had so much fun playing with Master Woolfall, Mr P & Grandad. They all seemed to have fun - not sure who had the most fun out of that lot though!

Later on after having chats we played a little game called name that bunny. We all put a name in the hat and Mrs W picked one out. The first two were... well, they just didn't look like the bunny so it was third time lucky with Pom-Pom.

Later on in the evening Mr P and Master Woolfall played the Xbox for a couple of hours while Little Miss P fell asleep on me on the chair. We went back to Mr P's mum and dad's house to sleep as we were going to see my Nanna the next day for a bit of lunch.

Hope you all had a lovely Easter!

Weekly Update 21st - 27th April

Little Miss P went back to school this week. Well she went back on Wednesday and she's glad she's back as she got to play with all her friends again and she got to see her teacher that she likes.

Monday - It was bank holiday Monday so we made a little adventure of it to Lee Valley boating river where you can hire a motor boat for an hour and take it up and down... it was great!

Tuesday - A chilling day at home finishing off homework, catching up on reading and watching Frozen on DVD as that's what I bought Little Miss P for Easter instead on an egg.

Wednesday - Back to school for Little Miss P and I have been painting the kitchen ceiling and I have to say I don't have any arm muscles because my arm hurt after an hour of doing it. After school Little Miss P was so tired so we just chilled out together and did some reading.

Thursday - Been for a little walk to Barkingside for a tiny bit of shopping. Didn't get much, only a few bits of food and some shower gel. Little Miss P had drama after school until 5pm and by the time she got home it was dinner, bath and bed for her.

Friday - It's raining. It's meant to be raining all weekend, oh the joy. It is April and we haven't really had any April showers yet so it's making up for it now. Friday is homework day so we will doing that.

Saturday - Mr P is out playing at the Museum of Childhood in Bethnal Green with his brass band, so we're just going to stay at home and do some baking.

Sunday - In the morning it's just family time at home doing puzzles, drawing and watching a film as the weather's so bad. In the evening Mr P is off out to a rehearsal for a show he's playing in. Oh and we have seen my mummy for a few hours.

OOTD: 25th April 2014

Hello Jelly Tots

Here is the outfit of the day. I am going to try and do every Friday but can't promise it.

Here Little Miss P is wearing a lovely dress by Sainsbury's. It came in a pack of two for about £14 I think.

It's a lightweight dress, great for a nice Spring day playing in the garden or the park. For Spring you might need to put it with a cardigan.
It's Navy Blue and White stripes with three Gold Buttons on the left shoulder. The buttons are just for decoration. With it coming up just past the knee it will also be great in the summer without a cardigan.

As she has worn it a few times I had to wash it a few times but it's come up really well, better then some other brand's dresses. You can see Little Miss P wearing it on our lookbook video here.

weekly update, 14th -20th April

Hello Jelly Tots, I hope you're all well!

This week has been a bit of an odd one as it's been Easter break and we're into the 2nd week.
With Mr P having a few days off work we have been seeing family and having lots of family walks.

Monday was playing at home in the garden and playing in the front garden with the kids in the green

Tuesday was Old McDonald's Farm fun with my mum, Little Miss P and Master Hill. We were all very tired at the end of the day but had so much fun.

Wednesday & Thursday - A day with just my little family being at home and going for little walks in the forest; a nice calm couple of days, oh and on Thursday night we had a lovely dinner with my my mum and Nanna at the Harvester.

Friday - we made our way to Braintree to see my sister and my new Nephew Little Master Hill. It would have been rude if we didn't pop to the Braintree shopping centre called Freeport, lol. It was a pretty unsuccessful shopping trip though as we didn't get what we went for. Maybe a Bluewater shopping trip is on the cards soon.

Saturday - we're off to March near Peterborough seeing Mr P's family for Easter. It was great as she put on an Easter Egg Hunt for the kids. They all loved it, even the 15 year old loved it. We stayed the night at Mr P's mum and dad's house and saved money by not staying at a hotel for the night.

Sunday - We went off at midday to my Nanna's who only lives about 20 mins away to see her and my Auntie for a few hours. She always cooks us a lovely dinner that keeps us going on the way home.

There will be more details of some of the things we did over the Easter holiday when I get to sit down and do them, so keep an eye out :-)

Easter

It's been Easter, woohoo! As it's been a few days now, in our house we've eaten most of our Easter Eggs and so we're feeling a little bit on the bigger side around the tummy.

This photo was taken just after the Easter Egg Hunt with Little Miss P showing me all her things she found and straight after this photo she asked if she could have them. And as I am a great mummy (hehe) I let her have a few even though we hadn't had dinner yet.

Hope you had a lovely and yummy Easter!

OOTD: 21st April 2014

So as soon as Little Miss P sees the sun she gets her dresses out and always wants to wear them even in the winter. But as a mummy I say to her ask me first when the sun's out even though I think it's really sweet when she asks me and it's like -1 degree outside.

So now it's time for all her dresses to come out and this is the best one and the newest one. I picked it from a shop called Choice, it has branded ranges like Next clothing... it's seems a bit like a Next clearance shop. I think it must have been last season as I can't seem to find it on the Next website. I paid £13.50 for it which i didn't think was too bad.

It's just so cute and girly and suits her age, what's not to love about it.

Hope you all had a great Easter.

We're now on Blog lovin so come over and give us some love, hehe.

Bathroom Work

Good Morning All

This week we have been doing up the bathroom as it was in a really bad way and a kind of a peach/pink colour, not my sort of colour, not for a bathroom anyway. It also had mould all around the bath, so it was getting to the point where I felt it was unsafe for the family.

Day One: It was full of a lot of dust as the builders were getting all the tiles off the wall, ripping up the carpet (yes I had a carpet in the bathroom) and they took the sink out and the radiator off the wall.

Day two: Prep the walls and the first lot of tiles went on one side of the wall by the bath and by the window.
Still a lot of dust in the house so had the windows open all day, also the builder has cut the new skirting board in the hallway for us as we didn't have the right tools to do it and glued it in the right place for us.

Day three: All the tiles are up on wall and the floor is down, woohoo! The basin is back but we have to leave it for 24 hours for the sealant to dry before we can use it.

Day Four: He came back and plastered the the walls, well half the wall, the bit that didn't have tiles on it as it was in a really bad condition and would have looked terrible if we had just painted on top of it. I also painted the radiator in the bathroom just to make it look more fresh. I don't think I did too bad a job but knowing Mr P he will be able to find something wrong with it.

That's it for now... more will be getting done soon. We will just be fitting the rest of it in when we can.

Weekly Update 7th-13th April

Hello Everyone

This week has been a little bit of an eye-opener for me, well the last two days have been. On Friday night Little Miss P slept the night at my sister's house with my mum as she was taking her Grandkids to the cinema in the afternoon, and I had all day to myself on Saturday, so I had a lot of time to think about things. But that's for a different blog post coming soon.

At the beginning of the week we spent a lot of time at home and playing in the front garden with the neighbours and their kids, as they all seem to be about the same age from the youngest at 9 months to the oldest one who is Little Miss P's age of 5. We did that on Monday and Friday.

On Tuesday we went to spend some time with my stepsister and her family just so Little Miss P and I could get out of the house. Wednesday was at home doing homework with Little Miss P, plus reading and playing lots of games... just lots of mummy and daughter fun at home. On Thursday we went into a high street down the road called Barkingside. We met up with my stepsister again, and then went back with her as Little Miss P and I were staying the night at my mum's house in Buckhurst Hill. Mr P had been away with work even though he was meant to be having a week off with us, but that didn't happened. Am I surprised, no, not really. But I know his doing his best, x

Saturday as I said above Little Miss P is with my mum for the day. Mr P is still away with work and is back tonight at some point, so I had the house to myself. It's given me a lot of thinking time and I think I needed it.
Sunday is just family time at home. Mr P is tired from being away with work and he has work tomorrow as well so we went for a nice walk to feed the ducks and then the rest of the time in garden... we even had the paddling pool out.

A Photo I’m Proud Of

I can't pick between two of them. The one above this writing was when Little Miss P appeared in front of me with this thing on her head and I just snapped it. I think this photo shows her character and her cheeky smile. I love my happy, fun child and she's my cheeky chops.

And this one shows Little Miss P's hippy side. We were at an air show just chilling out as a family in our own little world.

Nair Argan Oil Shower Power Cream - Review

I recently signed up to be a BzzAgent where you get invited to try products out and share your opinions with others. The first product I received was this new Nair Argan Oil Shower Power Cream. It was really easy to apply and I'm really excited about the new products I'll hopefully get to try!

My View

One thing I first noticed about this, was that it doesn't say hair removal cream anywhere (well not from what I can see) even though that is what it's for.

I was quite excited about trying this out as I have used things like this in the past. My sister is always using these types of things and always says I should use them but I have to say I tend to flit around from shaving, to waxing, to creaming.

Using the cream was really easy to do with the spatula. I didn't get that much over my hands (well on the second time I didn't, lol), left it on for 3 minutes and did a test patch but it needed more time. I think I left it on for 6 minutes in the end and it all came off really easily. It left my skin smooth and it felt nicely moisturised. It smells like any other hair removal cream, not as strong as some but still has some kind of smell.

I have to say it's better than shaving as shaving leaves my skin feeling really dry and itchy, where using the Nair Argan Oil Shower Power Cream it feels fine. I will not be throwing my Razors just yet, but I will be buying the cream again.

Who I Will Be Telling

I will be telling you all of you about this as it is a good product and it works well. My sister has already ordered one to try out and my other sister will be getting one on her next shop to try out for herself and her 14-year-old daughter.

Mrs P

P.S.: If you fancy a try, go ahead and leave please me a comment on what you think!

Weekly Update 31st - 6th April

We're already in April... how crazy is that!?!

Monday, I was getting everything out of the bathroom as on Tuesday we had the builder starting work on the bathroom; getting all the old tiles off and they started tiling one of the walls. Wednesday was a full day of tiling the walls and they finished off the skirting in our hallway for us.

Thursday is grouting day and laying the floor... hoping it will all be done today.

Friday, it's not all done yet; they had trouble fitting the floor tiles around the radiator - they kept chipping. It is done now so today they are putting the sink back in, filling a hole in the wall in the study and doing a tiny bit of work in the hallway. It needs to be done today as we are running out of money if it carries on tomorrow.

Saturday is my Niece's birthday. She turns 14 years old. It was mainly family, but she also had her best friend and her boyfriend there too. It was good as I got to see all the family.
Sunday is family day. We had a few bits that we needed to do like take some things to the tip. We had a lovely dinner, we had toad in the hole. It was so yummy.

That's it for this week.

My Mother's Day 2014

I had a great Mother's Day... I hope you all did!

It all started off when I woke up and got given my cup tea. That normally happens in the morning, but the next bit was one of my favourite parts of the day and that was breakfast in bed. It was my favourite breakfast too... pancakes with bacon and maple syrup. Oh yes, yuuuuuummy!

After breakfast Little Miss P went downstairs and brought up my gifts she got me. And what lovely gifts I got given. All of them were very thoughtful and had a theme of me chilling out.

I know which shops they came from as I was standing outside waiting for them. Most came from Clintons. I will put links up when they go online but I don't think they're on the website yet.

Here is what my little daughter got me...

1, Cute mug as I do love a cup of tea... 2, Glasses case as I have lost their case... 3, Nice candle - Amber & Nutmeg... 4, Heated neck thingy... 5, Knitted headphone earmuffs with built-in microphone, universal knitted sock & touch screen gloves (from Tesco)

I love them all and I'm always using the heat pad because it's so cosy. Good choices Little Miss P and Mr P :-)

What did all the other mummies out there get for Mother's Day this year?

OOTD: 4th April 2014

Hello Jelly Tots
Sorry it's been a few weeks since I have done this.

This week Little Miss P has got her long sleeved Gap t-shirt on that she got for Christmas from her Great Auntie. I think this is age 7 years as Gap does come up small. It's really nice and cosie.

This skirt is a thick woolen skirt, white with flecks of pink and grey from Primark young dimension range We got it last summer in the sale for £2. It's still a bit too big for her, but it will do just for going to the shops in or playing in the garden for now.

She enjoyed doing this photo shoot in our hallway. We took a lot more photos but only put the best three up. I think altogether we took 30 of them.

What I am doing right now

Well other the writing this blog post and reading lots of other people's blogs...

I am sitting in the conservatory on Mother's Day while the hubby does dinner and the washing up and Little Miss P is playing in the garden. You can see her in the background of the photo - she's playing with her rocket she's made out of chairs and a towel. She's just in her own world at the moment, it's really sweet. Later we're going out for a walk after dinner... just hoping it doesn't rain.

Hope you enjoyed this week's Photo Gallery and see you for next week's one.
