OOTD: 25th June 2014

Here is little Miss P in one of her dancing outfits for the her dance show on Saturday

It's a very cute lilac tutu. It reminds me of a proper little ballerina outfit, with the puffy skirt that's attached to it.

The back of it is very plain looking with no details on it, and to hold it all in place it just has a halter-neck type thing where you tie each side up into a bow.

The details on the front are very cute, and not too stande-outie; it's just got silver swirls around it. I'm not sure if her dance teachers put them on or if it was already like that.

That's outfit number one, I still have three more to show you all.

My first Graze box.

I am little excited about my first Graze Box. Yes, I know I am a bit late with it, but I have finally got one to try.

Billionaires' shortbread,
Belgian milk chocolate, Almonds, Cranberries & Fudge
I really enjoyed this after tasting it. At first I wasn't too sure about it, but it grew on me. Little Miss P likes this one too. The only thing she doesn't eat from it at the moment is the Almonds but that's OK as I really enjoy them.

Fruity Mango Chutney
with black pepper dippers
Mr P seemed to enjoy it, he ate it all.

Jaffa Cake
Belgian dark Chocolate, orange raisins & roasted hazelnut
I love the Hazelnut in this so I have just eaten all of them at once (it's just so yummy). Little Miss P has eaten the rest of them. It took her a bit of time to get used to the Chocolate as it didn't taste the same as what she normally has.

Light lemon & poppy slice
with afternoon Infusion, specially blended assanu and kenyan leaves
Oh my, the Lemon & Poppy Slice is so nice. It's so soft and fluffy, it just melts in the mouth.

Longest day #190

It's been the Longest Day of the Year

And what did we get up to. Well, we went to my mummy's house again to play in the garden as the family was there again and Mr P was out playing, doing a gig.

Here is Little Miss P, Little Flacky and My Mummy.
The kids were putting balls up her top... Not sure what my mum thought about that!

Prince Hill... it was all too much for him with all the heat, but I did get a lovely cuddle with him.

Little Flacky's 1st Birthday

The Birthday Girl

Little Flacky turned 1 a few weeks ago, so of course she had a party. My step-sister used my Mum and step-dad's garden as she lives in a flat and doesn't have a garden. She had a bouncy castle & BBQ going and invited all of my side of the family and Little Flacky's daddy's side of the family.

There's not much to say about it really other then it was a great time with all the family being together, but I wanted to put this up because of the photos we took so here we go, get ready for all the photos.

This is (left to right): Teenage Henderson (Niece), Little Flacky (Niece), Miss Henderson (Step-sister), Little Miss P (Daughter), Me, Master Hill (Nephew), Prince Hill (Nephew), Miss Huxley (Sister)

She's not a street dancer, bless her

I have to say, my little Lady is not a street dancer. They had a class for half an hour at her dance school just so they can try it out.

A photo of her drama class

But Little Miss P when she tried it was just laughing the whole time, as street dancing is fast moving, feet stamping and a little bit of freestyle kind of thing, where Little Miss P is all about tiptoes, learning new dance moves and just ballet in general. She's also really enjoying her modern class at the moment.

Her dance school are practicing for their dance show at the moment and it's been really sweet watching them go from starting to learn a dance to now where they are starting to do it on their own without the help from their teacher. You feel proud inside knowing that she's doing well and enjoying it. She also does a bit of drama with the dance school she goes to and really loves that.

Their Instagram account is THEDANCESHAK... please go over and have a look, they have some great photos on it of the baby class and the bigger classes.

a2 Milk Review

Good Morning Jelly Tots, here is another Bzz kit I got from Bzz Agent, it's a2 Milk. I got some vouchers in the post to buy and try it. After looking at the Bzz Agent facebook page it looked like people are finding it hard to find but I found it quiet easily and got one from a big Tesco about 15 mins drive from my house.

a2 Milk is fresh cow's milk that naturally contains protein called A2. Did you know there are different types of protein in milk including A1 and A2. Well I didn't know that A2 is the original natural milk protein. During domestication by humans a different protein called A1 became dominant throughout herds in Europe.

What I thought about this milk
I can't taste the difference between the other milk I get and this one. I have to say drinking this milk has made me feel less bloated and that's always a good thing. I will definitely be getting this again as I can feel it being better for me and my Little Family.

Who I will be telling
I have passed on a few of the vouchers to my sisters and my auntie to go and try it out.

Hope you enjoyed this little blog.

Photo Gallery #189

Breathe

There are so many ways you can take this and I had so many photo ideas but when I told my husband about the ideas, he came up with another one, and his is a really good, so here it is...

...You need to breathe deeply when playing a brass instrument, even with little lungs! Little Miss P doesn't play very many notes but does have a few blows of the cornet when Mr P is practicing. It's sweet seeing her take that first deep breath to get the sound out as it is hard (I have tried a few times and am not that great at it!).

No Internet, No TV

Last Tuesday we lost our Internet and lost our TV for the day and evening. We didn't get it back until the next day at about 10.30am so thank you Virgin for that!

The thing is I kind of liked that I couldn't watch TV and I couldn't go and check emails or anything like that. So I got some things done that I have kept putting off, but now I have got round and done them. And the same for the hubby; we needed to fix something in the kitchen. It's only a small thing but just haven't got round to it yet due to life really. We also ordered Little Miss P her new mattress, which we did via Mr P's mobile phone and a few other bit. It felt really good. Next on our little to do list is to order some wedding photos as it's been five years and still haven't done our wedding album and I really want to get it done.

Photo Gallery #188

This week's Photo Gallery is all about detail. It took me a while to think about the photo I wanted to take as you can take it in so many ways.

So I have gone for the detail inside our piano. There are so many different parts that have to be in the right place and work together to make a nice sound come out of the piano... there is a lot of detail.

Extra Father's Day option... I forgot a type of Dad!

I forgot a Dad type and that's the Dad that cares about his skin...

...the Dove Men + Care range. Because it's quite a wide range, you can choose what suits the Dad in question.
I picked this Daily Care Duo as it smells so nice; it has a Clean Comfort Antiperspirant Deodorant, which has 48 hour protection against odour with 1/4 moisturiser.

It also comes with Clean Comfort Shower Gel. It smells so good in the bottle and on my husband
and comes with micromoisture technology which helps protect skin from dryness... I'm not 100% sure what micromoisture technology is but it sounds good!

I also added this Radox for Men Fennel & Sea Minerals Shower Gel & Shampoo. It smells really good too. I was going to get the Muscle Therapy bath soak too but it was out of stock. It has a very manly smell to it, so he knows I wouldn't use it like I sometimes would. The RRP is £2.15.

Stepping outside my comfort zone.

I am not a confident person. I used to be, but after I had Little Miss P my confidence just went down; I somehow lost it somewhere and haven't been able to find it again.

A younger me

You only live once so I am trying to find it again. I have started by practicing a dance... can't go too much into that at the moment but will be able to in 5 weeks though. I will hope to film it as well, if I can.

The other thing that I will be doing hoping to do, really want to do, but just need to get my courage up for and try & really think about it, is to be in my youtube videos, not just behind the camera but in front of it and talk in front of it. I am not going to be a famous youtube person, I'm just really doing it for myself and Little Miss P loves being in the front of the camera so it's a good thing for us to do together.

The last thing is my weight. I was a size 8 before I had Summer but now I am size 12-14, the biggest I have ever been and that puts me down a bit as I don't have a clue how to dress for that size and shape, so that has completely knocked my confidence. I call it the Overton belly as it's from that side of the family, hehe.

Well that's all I have to say about that for now. Here's to being a more confident person.

OOTD: 6th June 2014

Hello Jelly Tots
This is my gorgeous Niece... she turned one this week so I thought I would do an outfit of the day for her.

Here she is, the little chunk in her Juicy Couture outfit, 12-18 months. The top is pink and white stripes with a little pink belt that goes around her tummy. It is attached to the top so can't take it off.

The little leggings are so cute, just plain light pink, it's still Juicy Couture. The outfit cost about £25 from TKMaxx.

The back of the outfit is cute as it has a little crown on the top.

So I would like to wish my Niece Little Flacky a very Happy 1st Birthday... I can't wait for your party on Saturday x

Sweet Temptation by Lucy Diamond

Her bitchy boss at the radio station humiliates her live on air, her glamour-puss mum keeps dropping hints that she should lose weight (like signing her up to the gym) and her kids are embarrassed to be seen with her after the disastrous mum's race at their sports day. Something's got to change.......

Maddie reluctantly joins the local weight-watching group where she finds two unlikely allies;
Jess, who is desperate to fit into a size ten wedding dress for her big day and Lauren who despite running a dating agency, has signed off romance for ever... or so the thinks...

As they all count the calories, new friendships develop and secrets are shared - but will they resist temptation?

My View

I really enjoyed this book, it's very witty and flows well. Each chapter of the book follows one of the woman and it alternates between them. This lets you learn about each of the women's lives which I think most women can relate to in some way or another. There are some serious issues in the book so it can a bit hard going in certain places but it has some very light-hearted bits in it too. It's a laugh, cry, feel some of their pain sort of book.

June Mini Goals

June

Finish off the bathroom
This one was on May Mini Goals just to do the last few bits and buy the bathroom cabinet but we didn't get that done, due to the hubby and I having stinking colds. So this one has been carried forward.

Put the logo on this blog site
I have come up with a logo for the top of this blog and to use in other places; just need to do the last bits to it and then place it up.

Save money
Got to save money as over the last week I seemed to need a lot of it, with my mum's 50th coming up this year and my nanna's 70th and with Little Miss P's dance show just around the corner and the outfits on their own are going to cost £42.

What Happened in May

Summer and I have done more baking together from banana bread to cupcakes, to helping me out cooking dinner. I have come up with my logo thanks to the help of a lovely family member called Jaz. And my blog schedule is done. I can't promise to do that every week but will give it a good go.
