What she wants to be.

What she wants to be

After school the other day, Little Miss P and I got into a conversation about what she wants to be when she's older. I don't have a clue how we got onto it, but well, here is the list of what she wants to be...

Ice Skater (even though she's never been before)
A showgirl (I think she means West End)
Singer
Artist
Builder
and a Teacher

So it's a mixed lot really. I bet if I ask her in a few weeks it will be something different again. It's sweet really, she's wanted to be an artist for the last year as she has always loved painting and colouring.

I am sure we'll all find out soon what she'll be... well in 14 years or so anyway.

Shopping #1

As I have said before, I like to try and shop locally, as long as it's cheap.
I have a small parade of shops about 5 mins walk down the road to me. It has a Tesco Express, two fruit and veg shops, pet shop, shoe shop, two charity shops and a few others.

So today I am showing what I bought and how much for x

Tesco
6 pack Club mint, 62p, on offer
Bread £1.00
x2 Juice drinks 3 pack, £1.20 for two, on offer
Hand wash 90p, on offer

Greengrocers
Carrots 50p
Lettuce 99p (for the guineapigs)
6 bananas £1.00

Pet Shop
Woodshavings £3.75

So all together it cost £9.96

As I walked to the shops I didn't have to spend any money on petrol or bus fares.

Outfit of the Week #6

Hello Kitty

Hello everyone. I took these photos after Little Miss P got out of the bath, in her Hello Kitty onesie. It's nice and fluffy and warm and looks good. We got it in Primark just before Christmas as we went to Disneyland, so it was great for that. She loves it; the only thing i don't like about it is that if she sleeps in it she'll wake up before morning as she gets too hot meaning I have to go in and see her to take it off at about 2am... and all I want to do is sleep.

The last photo that she wanted to do.

Let us know what you think of the onesie... are you a fan of them?

Yankee candle

Yankee Candles

I love Yankee Candles so much, but not so much the price of them. So I normally only get them when they are on offer in the sales, but I have found out that Clintons have one on offer every month. Well that's what it seems like anyway. This month is Beach Flower - not a great fan of that one so I will keep checking to see when one I like is on. I hope it be the Black Coconut soon as it's a new one out and i love it. Smells so good...

School update

School update

So Little Miss P is halfway through her first year at school and she is really enjoying it, even though the best friend she made left after Christmas to go to a different school just down the road. I thought that she would find it hard going back after christmas but she was fine, she doesn't just play with one person any more, she goes with who or looks likes the most fun. Not sure if that's a good thing or not. I am sure time will tell.

With her learning, she's doing great. She's gone up to stage 2 in reading and loves writing and art. She's not so keen on the computer or carpet time as she says it's boring and PE is too easy! She wants to do more moving around and dancing, not just holding a blanket with a ball on it then running underneath.

I still have a few issues with the school, like listening to Gangnam Style in class and not having enough time at lunch to eat everything. But hey, it's something to bring up at the next parent's evening.

Other than that, all is good. I would still like to send her to private school but i have to win the lottery first.

How are your little ones getting on at school?

Disneyland Paris at Christmas

Christmas 2012 at Disneyland Paris

Sorry it's a bit late but I haven't had a lot of time to do this blog post.

We decided only a month before that we would spend Christmas over in Disneyland Paris - just jump in the car and go. And so we did; we stayed  in the Hotel Cheyenne, as it was one of cheapest Disney hotels, the other cheap one was Hotel Santa Fe, but we wanted to feel like that we were in the Wild West theme. I would still love to stay in the main Disneyland hotel.

We started off the night before by driving to Dover and stayed in the Premier Inn so we could catch the early ferry and make it to Disney by about 1pm that day, which we did. The first thing we did was try and find a car park space in the hotel but we had to drive round it about 3 times to find a space. I don't want to know what the car park is like in the summer time.

Once we had our keys and park tickets we went to the parks to have some fun, even tho Little Miss P had a stinking cold, she tried her best to be happy and not let it get to her. We went straight to Fantasyland to find Dumbo the Flying Elephant and It's a Small World. We ended up going on It's a Small World about 5 times in total!

We asked Little Miss P who she wanted to meet in Disney and she picked Belle.

As you can see from the photo she could not believe that she got to meet her and have her photo taken with her. She had a big smile on her face for the rest of the day.

On the same day we met Cinderella in the Royal Pavillion - it was a 2 hour wait so next time i think we'll just wait until we see them around the park.

On Xmas Eve when went to see the Buffalo Bill's Wild West show I loved it and so did Mr P, but Little Miss P not so much. She got a bit scared of the guns going off. She loved it when we were banging our kinves and forks on the table and clapping. Our group won, woohoo! We were in the Yellow star team, but I didn't take many photos of it as i was having too much fun watching the show.

This was one of the only photos i took from Buffalo Bill's

The rest of the days we filled up on the rides and little bits of food, even on Christmas day... that was a little bit wierd. So here are some more photos from Disney for you...

I will be doing two more posts about Disney soon; one of them about the Disney cafĂ© where we had  lunch and the other about Disney Dreams. So keep an eye out for them.
