Dear So and So...

Dear Little Miss P School
When you start a new incentive keep to it. When you say you can buy tickets in the morning on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday we should be able to... I don't think you've had one day yet. If you tell the kids this they will stop trusting you and start thinking that their parents are lying to them... come on school, keep with it.

 Dear Tesco Clothing
I have tried to order a pair of school shoes from you because little one's won't last till the end of term, but when I try to put my card details in you saying they are wrong. They are not, all the details are right. Come on, I just wanna get her some shoes.

 Dear People in my Road
I know it's the summertime and it's lovely to be outside, but I live in a quiet road, a little cul-de-sac and I don't want cars going around it making lots of noise until 11 o'clock at night. There are children in this road so be respectful.

Dear Little Miss P
Why do I have to say things to you a hundred times, the same thing time and time again. And then you get moaning at me because we haven't got much time left to do certain things. Just listen to me straight away and it'll be a lot easier for us both.

Love
Mrs P

Here is a little video about my new bike,
Hope you enjoy it. Little Miss P x

My Avon World

Hi Guys, this is all about me joining Avon. If you read my last blog post you know already that I started Avon to help Little Miss P get a bit of extra cash for her drama lessons. If you haven't read that blog post I will leave the link here for you.

A lady came round and she was very nice indeed, but I think she was trying to get to sales to get more money for herself, but I suppose it's her job too. Summer and I need to sell about £100-£120 a month, or every three weeks in this case, and that will give us about £20 cash and that's all she needs for drama.

So first of all we are only doing family and friends, we have handed out about 10 brochures I think or something like that, maybe less, and made orders of about £120, so we did get to our £20 mark. We have to pay an admin fee this month and that is £10 and also the next campaign we have to pay another £6 for admin. But that's fine as we will probably make another hundred pounds again, well at least £85 anyway. Seven separate people made an order and I was one of them, two of our neighbours did, my mum dad and my mother-in-law did, also two of Mr P's work colleagues did... So far so good.

I've put all my orders in online and now I just have to wait for them to turn up, give them out, wait for the new books and get the money for them. I'm going to give it a year and see how we do at it. If it gives us that £20 extra month we'll keep doing it, if not then we will just stop.

Here is a little story

So here is a little story

It all started off with Little Miss P. She does lots of after-school activities, she does drama, dancing and horse riding. Drama's £5, dancing is £10 and horse riding she does every two weeks because it is £25 a time, so that adds up to about £110 in a month, that's not including competitions, new uniform, new shoes or anything like that... this is just the lessons.

The husband and I have had a conversation about it recently and we said that she's got to start thinking about quitting one of them because it's too much, as well it is a lot of money and she is six years old... come on now, it's just crazy how much we spend on her, especially if I want to save up for the big Disney trip to Florida.

So I had a conversation with her the other day about it all, I said she needs to start thinking about quitting one of them or get herself a job (I said that jokingly to her but she took me seriously and said she wanted a job, my thought when she said that was 'Oh dear, what have I got myself into!').

So while she was at school I got online and just had a look at what she can do to get the money as she's only six years old so she can't actually get a job yet. So I started looking at something that I could do with her but where all the money she makes goes towards her dancing, drama & horse riding. I came across Avon. I know a few people that have done this in the past just to get a bit of extra money on the side, so I looked into it and signed myself up.

It's something that Little Miss P can do with me and she will start understanding about money more and that it actually doesn't grow on trees like some people say, and it's not just about going to ask Nanny and Granddad for it instead. I think she's just lost a bit of reality of how much everything costs.

I will do a proper Avon blog post about what's going on with that in a different blog post, I just thought this would be a nice catch up blog post.

I'll see you all soon everyone, hope life is treating you well and that your children are treating it with respect.

A Day at Woburn

On election day Little Miss P had the day off school because they were using her school as a voting place. And so Mr Parker had booked the day off work so we could use our Tesco vouchers and go to Woburn Safari Park where you drive through. We do it at least once every year because we just love it.

It's a great time to go today because not many people think about it in advance. It was quite empty considering it could've been really busy. As soon as you drive into the bit where it says Woburn you see little Deer just wandering near the side of the road eating the grass... it just makes it feel more magical when you go in.

You can either go straight through the drive-through Safari or go through and park up. We always go straight to the drive-through Safari to see the bears, lions and monkeys and of course the zebras. We got a great view of the bears this time they were just by the side of the car under the tree asleep... they are just too cute for words.

After that we parked the car and had a walk round the the rest of the park. We saw the lions playing around, went on the train ride around the park and Summer even had some fun on the bouncy castle. We went to see the birds in the bird house as we don't normally go and see them as they are a little out the way. I think we got there just as they were doing some checks on the birds as we heard a few squawks occasionally.

At the end of the day we always go back through the drive-through Safari just to say bye to the animals, it's something we've always done. I will always do that as you see the animals being different characters at different times of day and this time we saw a close-up of the wolves instead of the Bears.

I hope as as a family we will do this every year or every other year when she gets bigger, I just think it's great family time. It's a nice chilled out day.
That evening Mr P had a rehearsal at Hatfield University so we went with him and just stayed in the little booths there while he had it and had a Starbucks too. As soon as we got back in the car Little Miss P fell asleep which I'm glad of because she still had school the next day!
