Disneyland Paris Tips

Hello again, here are a few hints and tips that I find helped me on our little Disney trip.

1) Book your Eurostar tickets way ahead of time. We booked them as soon as the dates we wanted came out and got them for about £30 each and after a few weeks they went up about £80 to £100 each. We also got a seat where we were all facing each other with a table in between us so the kids had lots of room to play and do their drawing.

2) Book the Disney Express. When you get off the train you take it to the Disney Express counter at the station and then take it to your hotel. They also give you your tickets to the park on the train so you can go straight to the parks and have fun.

3)  Have a rough plan on which park you're planning to go to and what you're doing for food that day, just so you can see all the parades you want.

4) Meeting the characters. Sometimes you can just go and queue to see one of the characters or if you want to meet one of the princesses you can go and get a fast pass, but you have to go and queue very early to get a good time. If you go later in the day you can still get to see them but for a later time, maybe at 5pm, so if you're in the park all day that's the best thing to do instead of queuing just to get a time then having to go back later to queue again.

5) Spend some time in the hotel. Most of the hotels have a swimming pool. One afternoon we just stayed in the hotel for a few hours so we could have fun at the park at night and enjoy the fireworks. It was meant to be for the kids to have a nap but we went to have a swim instead. It was nice but the kids were very tired by the end of the night.

Ice Cream

It's getting to that time of year again where we get our shorts and little tops out and eat as much ice cream as we possibly can.

I am part of Tesco Orchard and that is where it Tesco give you vouchers for their own brand stuff to try out and just do little reviews on the Tesco Orchard website.
One of them a few weeks ago was their own brand of ice cream. We normally buy their ice cream but as it was a trial thing I thought I'll try something new, so I picked up these two little babies.

The first one is Salted Caramel; this one was for me because I love caramel flavoured things but haven't really tried a salted caramel thing yet and it seems to be all the rage at the moment.

My honest view on this one is that I enjoyed it but it wasn't the greatest thing I've ever tasted. I would've probably preferred normal caramel and it can get very sickly after a while so you have to take your time eating it. But that's not too much of a hardship, it just means it will last longer. I have a bit of it every weekend after I've had my dinner and now need to buy a new ice cream as it's all gone. My mum had some of it with me last weekend and she absolutely loved it, she will be going to buy some from the shops herself next time she goes to Tesco. It just depends on you as a person and probably the mood you're in.

Next up the Caffe Latte one. I picked this up for the hubby to try because he's into all his coffee sort of things and he absolutely loved it. I think it's all gone now - in fact it went in the first weekend. His friend also had some of it too and he loved it. I know that he has bought some for his house now to have with his family so this one has gone down very well. I didn't actually get to try this one myself so I  have to take my husband's and his friend's word for it.

I will be buying them again for a little treat for the family. There were other flavours so instead of the Salted Caramel one I will probably get a different flavoured one to try out.

Photo Gallery - Landscape

At the moment we are doing a bit of landscaping to our garden getting rid of lots of earth to make it more flat as our garden is on a hill, We are also going to put some decking down outside of the Conservatory just so we can use it a lot more in the winter as that bit at the bottom of the garden normally gets all soggy and you just can't walk on it as you might lose your shoes.

We have done pretty well so far, when I say we I mean the hubby has done pretty well so far. He was out there for two days straight and it was kind of easy to get up first as it had been raining quite a lot for few months, so the earth was quite soggy still.

We have also taken down the shed because if we didn't take it down now it would have fallen down in a few months anyway. It was in that bad of a condition and had been used for about 20 to 25 years, so had done its time. We really need to hire a skip now and a few men to move all the earth for us into the skip, along with some of the shed that we just haven't burnt yet. This project will take some time and we are hoping to get it done by August so we can have our annual barbecue that we do every year for our birthdays.

Michael Gebben - Check it out

At the moment I am really been wanting to get motivated so I've been searching the big world wide web to help me do that and on YouTube I found someone called Michael Gebb.

He is a motivational speaker and does YouTube videos. They are great and they get to the point which I really like about him. If like I do you need any sort of motivation I think he does videos from 1 minute to 10 minutes. You just have to find the right one for you that day.

Another thing I liked about his YouTube videos is that he gets other people on them who have helped him in the past or are motivational speakers themselves.

That's it for this small blog post, I just wanted to mention it to you guys so you can check out his videos and see what he's all about. I have told a few of my friends already and they have really enjoyed his videos so I'm just extending my courtesy and showing you guys too.

She's having a growth spurt

I love my Little Miss P and in the last few weeks she has had a growth spurt. She puts on her jumpers and the arms are too short with her little belly poking out. It's so sweet but it's scary at the same time.

I need a date with her just trying on all her clothes so I can take out the ones that are too short in the legs, arms and tummy or just have stains on them and then see how much she has at the end of it. I don't think that she will have much left. Most of her leggings you see her socks poking out. Her school cardigan has her arms poking out and sometimes it's hard to find her school colour; it's royal blue but not all shops do that colour.

One thing I've been lucky about is that her feet haven't been growing that much, so all her shoes including school shoes and dancing shoes she's fine with. I may need to give in and buy her some school shoes soon though as they are looking a bit old and tatty. But I'm trying to hold out until
 September for the new pair.

We have bought her a new summer dress this week, well it's ordered from Next anyway and should be able to pick it up next week. Also two new cheap skirts from Asda so she can just put them on when she gets home after school in the summer.

It is really scary seeing her grow up so much at the moment. Personality-wise it doesn't seem as fast as she still likes to be my little baby sometimes (I actually love that). But she is being more independent in herself, like going up to the till in the shops and paying for her own things, granted with my money but staying on her own (I am of course only a few steps behind her).

As long as I always keep getting my hugs and always lets me kiss her at nighttime and morning then I'm happy with it. All I hope is that she doesn't grow up too fast and enjoys being a kid for as long as she can, because being a grown up is not all it's cracked up to be.

April Favourites

I don't have many this month as I went to Disneyland, but here are a few things...

1)  Is my Canon camera. I got some great photos while we were there, mainly of Little Miss P and  the rest of the family. I don't think I got any of myself though, oh well.

2) Water. It can be tap water, bottled water, any type of water. I have just started to get into it again as I was drinking way too much tea and my skin felt like it needed it, as well as my hair.

3) Snap Fish - OK it's an online shop but as I took lots of photos I had to have them printed didn't I, for my lovely photo album. Can't wait to get them in the post.

4)  My Filofax. I have been using this everyday for the last two months, it just keeps me in check. I also write a daily to do list in it.

5) My small wheelie suitcase. OK I only used this two times, once on the way to Disney and on the the way back. It did the job and it did a good job. I even had room in it to put some food in and to put the things I bought in Disney, woohoo. It must mean that I did a pretty good job at packing.

That's my little April Favourites.

One Day in May

One Day in May.
Well it happens to be 4th May, so may the force be with you. I had to get that in, didn't I. This week's photo gallery is all about one day in May so as today's the day I saw it, I just thought I'll blog about my day.

8.30am
Little Miss P stayed at my mum's last night so we had the evening to ourselves. I thought I would have had a bit more of a lie in but hey ho I did stay in bed until 10am and the hubby brought me up a cup of tea (thank you hubby).

11.10am
At this moment in time I'm sitting in the conservatory with Little Miss P doing her English homework with her. She has to write about her favourite film character or book character and she picked Scooby-Doo. She loves Scooby Doo and I don't mind watching it either. I think my step sister Jayne actually got her into it because my niece loves it too.

4pm
Our friend Andy is over at the moment, he is helping us knock the shed down because it's about to fall down and knocking it down is more fun.
Andy is a really close friend of the family, he was actually the hubby's best man for our wedding and we haven't seen for a long time so it was nice to see him.

5pm
It's barbecue time and as some of the shed is down we have it set alight in our fire pit. We might as well make use of the wood instead of putting it into landfill and it's keeping us nice and warm. The boys have steak on the barbecue and a few sausages. Little Miss P and I have leftover lasagne from the other day and a few sausages of course.

10.43pm
It's bedtime now and it's been a fun-filled day and actually a little bit of hard work into it. Obviously the shed was hard work but I suppose it saves me money instead of going to the gym. The whole day whilst I've been in the conservatory there have been two tiny little birds hovering around outside looking for worms. They have been quite sweet.

Round up of the day
I feel like it's been a productive day today with finishing off Little Miss P's homework and doing her spellings (she knows all of them), as well as sorting out some of the shed. Getting that sorted and putting it into the fire gets us ready for the next stage of our little garden projects in time for the summer barbecue at the beginning of August.

On the way to Disneyland Paris

Hello this is a little blog post about our trip on the Euro star to a little place called Disneyland Paris.

we stared of very early on the 18th April as we had to get to St Pancras for the train and we have to get there an hour early to get thought passport control ect.  I was meeting my mum and sister at my mummy house. and the hubby took us and on the way we went via Mcds to get breakfast yummy.

It was so easy going once we got thought check in. We sat down and got our self's a drink and a few mags before having to board the train.

Once on the train and find our sits it was time to get the kids colouring thing out and set up the ipad with the films on, Little watching Moster High while Mr Hill watched How to train your dragon. They where all very good on the train. but after two hours they did get board and wanted to start moving around so I took them to buffer cart for a drink and scratched my own legs,

We got to Marine La Vallee satiation  all in one peace and the kids were still really happy when It was time to get off.

As we payed for the Disney express we got all out tickets on the train. and just had to hand in our bags and the Disney Express check inn for them to pass on to our hotel so that we can go and join in the fun straight away, And as we aint there for long  we wanted to make sure we made the most of it.

Come back for more Disney Fun soon,
