Lion King - West End

We went to see the Lion King in the West End and it was great. I got it as one of my birthday gifts from Summer and Ewan, but they also came along with me so really it was a gift for all of us... but mainly me. I wasn't sure what Summer was going to think about it. I thought she was going to be really scared.

But we walked in and she was so excited. All the lights went down and some of the animals came down the aisles. At this point I thought she would burst into tears, but how wrong I was. Her mouth just dropped open in amazement and she loved it. The only time she hid her face was when the hyaenas came on but a bit after that she was fine.

We all loved the show and would go back, but it was a lot of money, so might have to wait a few years before we do. After the show we went to stand on Waterloo Bridge overlooking the Thames River and it was so pretty.

We got the train out of London and on the way home Summer fell asleep. I had so many people on the train say what a beautiful daughter I have and what rose lips she has. I felt like a very proud mummy.

If you haven't seen it yet go and see it... it's a great show!

Photo Gallery

I haven't done the photo gallery for a while so as I really enjoy picking the photo for this blog post I have decided to do it again.

This week is all about 'Summer', so I have picked this photo of my Summer over the summer holiday when we were away and went to Africa Alive and she got her face painted. It isn't a summer for us unless we go to the zoo and have her face painted, so this was the perfect photo.  In the comments below let us know what you got up to.

Party Time

Morning all
I have been away for a week with my little family. We went on a staycation to Kessingland and I will be doing a few posts on that within the next few weeks.

But for now here is a post of what happened for Little Miss P's birthday party. It's the same as we do every year, a BBQ and a bouncy castle with her friends and after that a few of our mates come over.

Little Miss P's friend Miss Simkiene came over early to play with her before the party. It was so that Little Miss P could stop asking when the party started or just getting bored waiting... so it was for both our sakes!

The Party was a great overall success. More kids turned up than I expected and it was a great idea for the bouncy castle as that is what the kids played on the most. For the last half an hour the girls were sitting in the front room watching Frozen and singing to all the songs. It was so sweet to watch and I wish I had got a film of them doing it.

After all the kids left it was just my family and a few mates of ours who turned up. Also Miss  Simkiene stayed with us for a few hours after too and it was so sweet that she cried when she went home as she had a great time.

I said I was making Little Miss P a cake, so I did and it wasn't a disaster. I am so proud of myself for making this and it going OK. Go me, it took a while but it worked. We also got another cake just in case the one I was making didn't work out. But I'm glad we got the other one as that one got eaten as well.

Little Miss P loved her party and really enjoyed it. She was so tired after it, bless her and didn't go to sleep until about 12.30am so that she could see in her Birthday. I now have a six-year-old Daughter.

OOTD :15th August 2014

Hello everyone

Here is Summer in a cute summer outfit for just playing in the garden and in the house on a nice hot day.

The top is a cute Tinkerbell one with Tinkerbell doing different poses on it. It's a great top for any Tinkerbell lovers and it's nice and thin for a summers day. We picked this up at the start of the summer holidays from Sainsbury's for about £8 I think.

The skirt is an old one. She got it last summer and is elasticated so still fits her. I love this one as it goes with anything. The great details at the bottom of the skirt are fun and colourful, great for a kids skirt. It's from Debenhams, I am guessing it was about £10 but I really can't remember.

Graze Box review

Hello everyone, here is my next Graze Box review... woohoo, I was happy with this box when I saw what was inside!

Carrot cake with an afternoon infusion
I haven't had the tea yet and I don't think I will. I think Mr P will be having that. The Carrot cake is lovely; it has a strong flavour to it so at first I thought I wouldn't like it but after a few little bits I started to enjoy it.

Smoky hotdog
We all love this, all the family shared this one evening while chilling out in the garden. I hope to be getting this again soon.

Honeycomb crunch
This one was all for me... so yummy! I love honeycomb so I got a little excited about trying this and I wasn't disappointed with it.

Applewood smoked beef jerky
I have left my hubby to write about this one...
"It was very tasty but has a very stiff, rubbery consistency. The flavour was really nice, but I'm not sure I would buy it."

Meet us

Hello my lovelies, hope you're all well this evening!

As I have started my little youtube channel, I thought it might be time to tell you our real names, as I do say them on youtube so if you watch it you will already know.

First up is Little Miss P, aka Summer

She is now my little Six year old daughter and here she is very proud in her birthday hat. Her favourite colours are purple and yellow and at the moment she loves playing with Lego.

Next up is Mr P aka Ewan, yep my hubby's name is Ewan

He is a great father to my little monkey and he works his bottom off so he can give us a good life, and he does a great job at it.

And now for me, Mrs P aka Nicki

Yes my name is Nicki, the mummy of the family. I try and live my life to the full and just take life as it comes. Even though I am planning a Disney trip for two years' time, for my 30th birthday, hehe...

Hope that gives you a little idea of who we are, so sometimes I will be calling us by our real names on here.

Why I love the summer

Hello my lovely jelly tots... here is a little on the top 5 things I love about the summer

1) It's Little Miss P's birthday in August

 2) It's my birthday in August too
(can't find a photo of me on my own)

3) The seaside is so much more fun in the summer

4) BBQs... we have BBQs all year round, but sitting in the garden with a glass of wine in front of the fire burner is the best

5) Going on a nice family walk in the forest then feeding the ducks

Let us know what you love about the summer in the comments

OOTD - 8th August 2014

It's the Party Dress, oh yes, this is a special dress to my Little Miss P as
it's her 6th birthday party dress. We went shopping in Next as I know they always have some lovely ones in stock and I really wanted Little Miss P to pick one out herself.

I have to say it's not the dress I would have picked out for her but it's her style. That's what made her happy and it's a good choice for her party as it's a bouncy castle party.

It's got six different bits of fabric sewn together and it flows out when you spin around, so it gets an extra thumbs up for that. It's age 5 years so it will last this summer and may be a bit until spring next year. It cost £20 and I had £11 left on my Next voucher, so only had to pay £9 and now that's a great price :-)

WARBURTONS Deli Thins - Review

Hello everyone hope you're all well. I have been given another Bzz kit from the lovely people there to try out. This time it's Warburtons Deli Thins.

I got the vouchers in the post to go and pick them up from Tesco, they sell all different ones. I picked up the Honey Wheat ones and they tasted so good, so I will definitely be picking them up again. We took them on a picnic with us.

I made myself a ham one and also made Little Miss P a ham one, while Mr P had a bacon and salad one. We ate them all up so Mr P and Little Miss P must have liked them... for Little Miss P to eat it all up it gets a big thumbs up.

Summer learning

It's the start of the summer holiday here in the UK and I would like to keep Little Miss P's brain working and do some at home learning with her. Not every day, all day, but bits and bobs here and there. I have already got a few books for her to read from the library and a few learning books.

I was going to do a Library reading challenge with Little Miss P but every time we go in there it's about a 30 mins wait to go and read to someone and get the sticker, so I have decided just to do it at home with her and after she's read 10 books and done a little Book Review on all of them, she'll get to pick a book to buy from the shops.

There is only one more thing work-wise that we're doing over the holidays and that's times tables... now she's learning 2, 5 & 10 but she doesn't know them off by heart so I will working on that with her. Also if she gets that I will start teaching her 3 times tables. That's all the learning for now. We'll see how she gets on and I'll keep you updated.
