Is four too young?

Well, we put Little Miss P's name down for primary school. I was under the illusion that Primary school took two intakes a year - one in September and one in January, but not any more... just one intake a year and that's in September. But Little Miss P would have just turned four years old in August. To me that seems really young to go to school all day: at least if she started in January she'd be that little bit older and might understand it more. I know that doing one intake a year is a lot easier for the schools, but is it really the best for the children? Children have to be in education until they're 16 years old, so why do they have to start so young? Their childhood is taken from them so young.

Sorry for my little rant but i have it out of my system now, so thanks for reading x

Van Hage: Tea with Santa :-)

Little Miss P and I

We heard about Van Huge center last year from my sister, so this year my mum and I took Little Miss P and Mr Hill (my nephew) to have tea with Santa at Great Amwell. OH my i am glad i did - she loved it before we even got to sit down and eat tea she was excited. Seeing all the lights, waiting by the ice rink, watching people having fun and then falling over. Her face was like she had just stepped into a magical world.

Once we got our seats for tea Little Miss P went straight for the muffin and the drink - she even got a sausage roll. Then who should walk in but Santa.. St Nick himself! She forgot all about the food and started clapping with a big smile in her face. Mr Hill was a bit scared so he went running to mum (their nanny). Now it was time for a sing song of Rudolf the red nose reindeer and jingle bells, and a game of Santa says, which Little Miss P didn't win.

Little Miss P was so sad when Santa left but he was only going to have a sit down. I said that we can go and see him in his house, so that made her happy. But first we were off to get Little Miss P's face painted - she kept changing her mind in the queue, first it was a snowman then a tree then stars but when the lady asked she said tree. Oh how proud she was and spent the next 5 mins in front of the mirror looking at herself! What a funny little moo she can be! For 5 mins i think she forgot about seeing Santa again until i said 'shall we go and find Santa now' and she ran to find him.

I didn't think she would go talk to him as she's sometimes a bit funny like that, but she did and she told him her name and what she wanted for Xmas - a singing doll and a princess game - she said she's been good... well she thinks she has as i have over opinions about that! Santa gave her a book and a badge. She had her photo taken and we went to go on the Carousel. Mr Hill seemed to enjoy that and Little Miss P loved it, she had a great day and she'll not forget it for a long time. She even keeps the book Santa gave her under her pillow so it will be safe. I find that really sweet.

So if you going to see santa this year i would recommend here because Little Miss loved it and so did I :-)

What a week!

Crazy week

What a week it's been... crazy... first i had an planned op on my eye on Friday. Went in at 12.30pm and came out at 6.00pm. The op was 45mins and was to remove a lump from the top of my eye. It's still a bit sore but all ok. On Sunday night little miss got a temperature of 40.3c so we rang up NHS direct and got told to take her to the emergency GP at King Georges Hospital. Well, after an hour and a half of waiting it turns out she has Tonsillitis so Little Miss P is feeling sorry for herself, with the next day chilling on the sofa all day. I think Mr P is feeling a little bit left out as now as he has come down with man flu.

Ooh-arrrr..... It's a Captain's life for me!

On a good note the house is getting back to nomal after a few days of not tidying it :0(

How much money would you need?

If you win the lotto how much do you need to win. If it was me i would like to win £1,000,000... that would pay off the mortgage £217,000 and help start up my business £300,000 and that leaves us £483,000 to spend on my family and have kept some just in case things don't go to plan. Well here's to winning some money on the lottery, even a £10 would be good.

The most i've won is £10 and i have won that a few times but that's it. My mum and stepdad won £1,000 once I think. That's the most i know someone won.

 What's the most you won?

Yes, I live in Essex

Essex

I live in Essex yes, but please don't call me an Essex girl. I have lived in Essex most of my life. I moved from Wanstead to Buckhurst Hill when I was 11 years old, then moved just down the road to Chigwell with Mr P.

So yes, I live in Essex, yes I like to hang out with my friends and yes I like to go to the spa. But no to getting a fake tan, and no to wearing lots of make-up, short skirts and high heels in whatever the weather. And that's what I am. I don't look like the average Essex Girl so now when you all watch The Only Way Is Essex just remember that not everyone in Essex looks like that. I am guessing (hoping) that all the cast are a nice bunch of people and that most - if not all - of it is made up.

This is the closest to the Essex look I go -
this was going to see the band The Script

Christmas is on its way x

This chrismas i am planning to have everything done by the 1st December. Everything wrapped, cards done, tree up, so i can enjoy Christmas with my family and friends and not run around like a headless chicken in the shops! I have already got all of Little Miss P's pressies, and i have Mr P's pressie, so that's them sorted, just the rest of family now.

Little Miss P has started her Christmas list, but at this age it's so easy to help her pick things that you already got for her!! It's not mean - i hope people don't think it's me being mean - it's just helping Little Miss P pick what she wants and not just any old tat :-)

Wow, if only.

Oh wow if only after i had Little Miss P i looked like this!
This is Miranda Kerr, Orlando Bloom's wife showing off a perfect bod just seven months after giving birth to baby Flynn. What did she do to get her bod back to that? If only we could all do that, but hey i will just have to get used to my size 12 jelly belly. Even if it has been three years...

It can't be healthly for you after your body going through giving birth and only after seven months looking like your body hasn't even been thinking about having baby. With a tiny waist and a flat tummy, her boobs do look good tho, but that could be post baby boobs. In the real world most of us can't even think about going for a run - all we want is have a good night's sleep, a nice bath with a glass of wine and a bar of Galaxy. But hey, we don't need to show our body off at a fashion show. As long as you're happy in the body your'e in, who cares!

Center Parcs 2011

Center Parcs

I love Center Parcs, i have been going every year since i was three years old with my family, and as we have got older, married with kids, so it has grown every year.

i did really enjoy it when i was younger but now with everyone coming, with husbands, boyfriends and girlfriends & kids it's just too much. It's not a holiday any more it's more just 'do this do that' at the time things are booked for, with people getting stressed about who's going and what to do after. My little family and i did get away from the crowd a bit and did out own thing - that was the best part of the holiday for me. Oh, and Summer showing us her dance moves at the kids' disco. Next time i go i hope it's just my little family and maybe everyone could come down for the day - just the day tho coz i think that's all i can take :0)

The best part of Center Parcs for me is seeing Little Miss P having sooo much fun playing games at the disco, swimming and just running around being her. The best part for me is the Spa... oh how nice was that - no kids, just some time for me and chilling out reading a book and popping into a Spa room. I wish i could do that every week. Everyday would be good!

I feel a little bit lost.

Little Miss P

Sorry i haven't been around i have been a busy bee. x

Little Miss P started pre-school a few weeks ago, and i felt soooo lost without her, as, well it's very strange and did again today... it's only for 3 hours but i was with her 24 hours a day 7 days a week. The funny bit is that she wanted me to go - i was more upset than she is to the point that i nearly started crying walking home.

We went in and saw her name on the peg - she's in the yellow group so we went off to see her keyworker. she seems like a very nice lady. Little Miss P wanted to go and see the loo first thing so she knew where it was. After that off she went to go and do some colouring and off i went back home.

When i got home i didn't have a clue what to do with myself. i made sure the home phone was working and that my moblie was on loud just in case i got a fone call from busy bees. But i didn't, so I spent most of my time by the phone and doing the washing up. And today i have started to sort out Little Miss P's room as it's a mess but still have a few things to sort out like clothes and toys. I need more than three hours for Little Miss P's room.

I can't wait to to feel a bit more comfortable with her not being here as i will have time for myself to work on my Bucket List.
Here's to Little Miss P for continuing having fun at pre-school and making lots of new friends.

Book review: The Only Way Is Up by Carole Matthews

Book Review
The Only Way Is Up
by Carole Matthews

About the book:
Lily & Laurence Lamont-Jones had it all - the big house, nice cars, lavish holiday & a top private school for their two children. Until Laurence loses his job in the city with the house, the cars and everything else. With their so called mates turning their back on them with no where else to go, it's off to the council to get a council house on a rough estate, to try and start rebuilding their life back. Will Lily make new friends? Will Laurence find a new job?

My view:
I could not put this down. It's full of excitement & the day to day life of trying to find your feet again with the ups and downs of life. Wish everyone was like Lily and Laurence sticking through thick and thin and making the most of what you've got. I laughed and cried reading this book and would recommend this book to anyone who wants a good laugh and cry, with a kick up the bum to get you more motivated.

This book gets: 5/5
