A Desirable Residence by Madeleine Wickham

A Desirable Residence
By Madeleine Wickham

Liz and Jonathan are in trouble. They can't sell their old house and they've already moved into their new one. Stuck with two mortgages, mounting debts and a sulky daughter, their smart estate agent Marcus presents the perfect solution - super glamorous couple Ginny and Piers will become their tenants.

But Marcus soon finds himself more involved with Liz then he'd ever intended. And neither Liz, lost in blissful lust, nor Jonathan, trying to solve their financial problems, notices that teenage Alice has developed a desperate passion for the tenants.

Everyone seems to be entangled with everyone else, and Marcus needs to escape. But as events close in on him, he begins to realise that some deceptions are just a bit too close to home.

My View

I enjoyed reading this book. Lots of fun characters and recognisable situations always makes for a good read.  Even though it was i would say the other books by Madeleine Wickham have a better storyline to them than this one. I think it should be a bit longer to make the ending of the story feel like an ending and not rushed. I would say read it if you've got it but don't go out and buy it, and i am very sad to say that as i love all her other books.

Oh, I am going on my little holiday on Thursday so I will be a bit M.I.A. over the next week, so hope you all have a lovely week.

Love
Mrs P
